EEE CLASS MANAGEMENT SYSTEM PROJECT.

APPROACH ON DATA COLLECTION.

OBJECTIVES.

1. Improve class schedules.

2. Track student performances.
3. Managing resources.
4. Facilitating communication.

DATA REQUIREMENTS.

1. Student requirements such as enrollment details, attendance, grades and feedback.

2. Course Information such as syllabus, schedules, materials, assignments and exams.
3. Faculty information such as teaching schedules, contact details and feedback.
4. Resources such as availability and booking of laboratories, lecture halls and equipment.

DATA COLLECTION METHODS.

1. Surveys and questionnaires to collect feedback from students and faculty.

2. Interviews and focus groups for in-depth analysis and insights.
3. Automated Systems such as using existing databases and learning management systems for
real time data.
4. Observation. Attending classes and meetings to understand current processes and identify
areas of improvement.

DEVELOPING DATA COLLECTION TOOLS.

1. We would create online forms for easy submission and aggregation of survey and
questionnaire data.
2. We would create database systems to store and manage collected data securely.
3. We would create a mobile app for on-the-go data entry and access.

DATA COLLECTION IMPLEMENTATION.

1. Conduct a pilot testing to refine tools and processes.

2. Full deployment.
3. Monitoring and support.

APPROACH ON DATA ANALYSIS.

Before analysis, we prepare the collected data.

DATA PREPARATION.

1. Identifying and correcting errors, handling missing values and standardizing data formats.
2. Combining data from various sources such as student records, faculty schedules and resource
bookings into a single dataset

DESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS.

1. Calculate the mean, median and mode for numerical data such as grades and attendance
rates.
2. Assess the spread of data using range, variance and standard deviation.
3. Examining the distribution of categorical data such as number of students per class.

EXPLORATORY DATA ANALYSIS.

1. Create charts and graphs such as histograms, bar charts and scatter plots to visualize data
distributions and relationships.
2. Identifying relationships between variables such as attendance and grades.
3. Analyze changes over time such as performance trends across semesters.

INFERENTIAL ANALYSIS.

1. Test hypothesis about our data such as “do students who attend more classes perform
better?”
2. Understand the impact of independent variables on a dependent variable such as “how study
hours affect grades.”

PREDICTIVE ANALYSIS.

1. Using linear or logistic regression to predict outcomes based on historical data.

2. Implementing machine learning algorithms such as decision trees and random forests for
more complex predictions such as predicting at-risk students.

PRESCRIPTIVE ANALYSIS.

1. We develop models to optimize schedules and resource allocation.

2. We provide decision support for faculty and administrative staff.

DATA REPORTIING AND VISUALIZATION.

1. We will create interactive dashboards using tools like tableau for real-time data access.
2. We will generate comprehensive reports summariing key insights and recommendations.
3. We will prepare presentation with visual aids to communicate findings to stakeholders

APPROACH ON THE SCOPE OF WORK.

1. Project Planning.
2. System Design and Architecture.
3. Frontend development using android studio and xml.
4. Backend development using php.
5. Setting up database management system using SQlite.
6. User authentication and authorization.
7. Testing and quality assurance.
8. Deployment and maintenance.
9. Documentation and training.
10. Project management.

SPECIFIC OBJECTIVES.

1. Efficient Class Scheduling. We would automate the scheduling of classes to avoid conflicts and
optimize the use of available resources.
2. Student Information Management. We will maintain up-to-date records of student
information such as enrollment, attendance and grades.
3. Resource Management. We will track and manage the use of department resources such as
lecture hall, laboratories and equipments.
4. Communication Platform. We will provide a platform for seamless communication between
students, faculty and administration.

DELVERABLES.

1. Class Scheduling Module. A system to create and manage class schedules.

2. Student Information System. A database to store and manage student records.
3. Resource Management Module. Tools to manage the booking and utilization of resources.
4. Communication Tools. Features such as announcements, notifications and discussion forums.

PROJECT TASKS.

1. Collecting and gathering requirements from students, faculty and administration.

2. Designing the architecture and user interfaces of the system.
3. Developing the software modules for class scheduling, student information, resource
management and communication.
4. Conducting unit, integration and user acceptance testing to ensure the system meets
requirements.
5. Implementing the system in the department and migrating existing data.

TIMELINE.

1. Requirements gathering and analysis. (1 month).

2. System design and architecture. (1 month).
3. Development. (3 months).
4. Testing. (1 month).
5. Deployment and training. (1 month).
