Project Stage 2:

Colonial Table construction weekly log

Describe and explain in detail the different steps taken to construct, assemble all project pieces.
Provide picture evidence for a comparison against example project photos.

WALTS 1. Understand and describe the systematic order in which project pieces
are constructed, assembled and finished.
2. Identify and understand the correct tool, material, technique or product
that is required for each project assembly stage
3. Understand how to Modify assembly pieces for a more precise fit and
greater functionality.
WILFS 1. Utilise working area for the efficient construction process of the project.
2. Plan the way project pieces are dimensioned, constructed and fitted
together.
3. Consult the exemplar, design plans, how to videos, teacher and / or
classmates for ideas or help.
4. Take photo evidence of your work that relates to example pictures
provided for a comparison of success.

TIBS 1. Choosing most efficient way to make products results in saved time and
money.

2. Planning before acting avoids making unnecessary mistakes which can

cost time, materials and profit.
Tips for success  Have each assembly piece joining/ structural features made before
assembly.
 Dry fit all pieces to check for accuracy of fit before using any fixing
products e.g. glue.
 Take photo evidence and upload to the relevant section.
 Maintain a weekly construction process log identifying what you achieved
in a week. Doing this each week will help prevent events being forgotten.
