2222222222UIDELINES FOR PROJECT WORK WRITING

Project report writing is one of the criteria of internal evaluation. All the students will submit
their Project Report in written form within a period of 15 days to the respective faculty; this
period shall be counted from the given date of Project work. The internal project report will be
required to evaluate (out of 10 marks) on the basis of the quality of the project report prepared by
the student.
INSTRUCTIONS FOR STUDENTS

IMPORTANT GUIDELINES FOR WRITING THE PROJECT


1) Students should use simple and good English while writing the report. Avoid grammatical
errors.
2) The report should be submitted as a MS-Word document only and NOT in the form of MS
Power Point slide printouts.
3) The problem and objectives should be specific and clearly stated. Avoid ambiguity.
4) Aspects of the structure of the report should not be omitted.
5) Important to include bibliography, list of tables and list of figures.
6) The report should also include certificate from the guide (if help from a guide has been taken)
and acknowledgements (if any)

OTHER DETAILS TO BE CONTAINED IN THE REPORT


The following form/page should be included in the Project Report in the same sequence as
given below:
1) Title page (See appendix - I)
2) Declaration of the student. (See appendix - II)
3) Evaluation sheet (See appendix - III)
4) Acknowledgment - to all those who have helped the students to complete the project.
5) Table of contents, chapter wise with the appropriate page numbers.
6) Bibliography - It is important for students to list the books/article/thesis/report.
7) Appendix- It is important for the students to show their necessary and supporting
calculation.
STYLE OF WRITING:
Every student should prepare the Project Report and submit the hand-written form in the body
part and typed form for initial pages, bibliography and annexes as per the following
requirements:
 Every chapter must begin on new page.
 Page numbers are mandatory and should be given at the top (left).
 Spell checks should be carried out.
 Diagrams and tables should be numbered as x.x (Eg. Fig. 3.1 for first figure and so on) in
the text of the discussion.
 The length of the report should be about 5 to 6 pages minimum.
 The Project Report should be typed in 1.5 (one and a half) line space. But the
References/Bibliography should be typed in a single space.
 The paper should be A-4 size.
 Simple stitched plastic binding is enough.
 One hard copy should be prepared and submitted to the respective faculty for the purpose
of evaluation along with duly signed in declaration form by the student.
DESIGN
A)TITLE PAGE: The first page should contain the following details.
TOP: The Title of the report in block capitals, properly centered.
CENTRE:
1) Full name of the student in capital letters
2) Roll No. (e.g. 24/2078)
3) Section (e.g. Section: A)
4) Room No. (e.g. 301)
BOTTOM: Name of the college, Date of Submission (e.g. September, 2022)
B) MARGIN: Left 25mm (1 cm), Top 25mm (1 cm), Right 25mm (1cm), Bottom 25mm
(1cm).
C) FONT: Arial (11 pts) or Times New Roman (12 pts)
D) PAGE NUMBER: Must be at the top right corner of every page starting from chapter one.

SUBMISSION:
The student required to submit only 1 hard copy of the project report which will be returned after
checking by the concerned faculty.

REFERENCES
Correct standard format (i. e. APA 6 style) must strictly be adhered in alphabetically.
Example:

APPENDIX
It includes Questionnaire for the study, or the copy of the research tools prepared by the students,
i. e. interview schedule, rating scale, calculations etc.
