INTRODUCTION
Group projects help students of a class know each other and
contribute to making the best of one’s talents and skills.
Although work is individually distinct from the other, everyone
is working towards a common goal which is to accomplish the
task with flying colours.
It helps in increasing one’s mutual understanding problem-
solving and character developing by involving in such groups
activities.
Hence it is one of the best and most appropriate methods of
teaching.

SCRIPT
CHARACTERS: Sophia, Ava, Mia, Nichole, Nichole’s mom , Amy, Isabel,
Ruth.
Scene 1: A New Beginning
Sophia walks through the campus gates, phone pressed to her ear, her
expression nervous but determined. footsteps.
Mother (voice through the phone, calm and encouraging): You’ve got
this, sweetheart. It’s going to be alright.
Sophia nods slightly, gripping her books tighter.
Sophia (softly): Thanks, Mom. I really hope so.
She reaches the entrance to the main building, takes a deep breath, and
glances around the busy campus.
Sophia (sighing, with a faint smile): Okay, I better go.
She ends the call, slipping her phone into her pocket. With a nervous
exhale, she heads down the bustling corridor, scanning for her class.
Scene 2: Trouble Ahead
In a nearby corner of the corridor, three girls—Ava, Nichole, and Mia—
stand close together, whispering and smirking as they gossip about
other students passing by.
Ava (mocking): Oh my god, did you see what Olivia is wearing?
Nichole (smirking): Ugh, please. That outfit is hideous.

6
They exchange amused glances while Mia rolls her eyes.
Mia (sarcastically): She probably got it from a thrift store or
something.
Their quiet laughter echoes, drawing little attention from those around
them. Ava’s eyes suddenly land on Sophia, who’s wandering further
down the hall, clearly lost.
Ava (grinning): Guys, look. A little lost lamb... why don’t we go guide
her? The girls share knowing glances before sauntering toward
Sophia, standing in her way as she stops in confusion.
Scene 3: A Cruel Welcome
Sophia looks up, startled, as Ava, Nichole, and Mia surround her. She
clutches her books tightly, feeling cornered by their presence.
Ava (grinning, voice dripping with mock concern): Hey, are you lost or
something?
Sophia hesitates, sensing the tension but unsure how to respond. She
glances nervously at the three girls.
Sophia (voice shaky, trying to stay polite): I’m just trying to find my
class...
Nichole suddenly steps forward with an icy smile and shoves Sophia
hard. Sophia stumbles backward and falls to the ground, her books
spilling across the floor.
Nichole (smirking): Oops. My bad.
Sophia looks up, startled and hurt. Nichole crouches down next to her,
picking up one of the scattered books. She holds it just out of Sophia’s
reach, her gaze sharp.

Scene 4: The Social Butterfly INT. CAMPUS CORRIDOR - DAY
ISABEL and RUTH walk through the bustling corridor, their energy lively.
They spot AMY struggling to carry a stack of books, looking determined
but weighed down.
Isabel(noticing): hey, Amy! Do you need help with that?
Amy(brightly): oh, isabel, yes please! I was heading to the library
Isabel rushes over, taking a few books from Amy’s arms with a friendly
smile.
Isabel: here, let me take some of these.
Amy: thanks! By the way, I heard mark was looking for you. He needs
help with his essay.
Isabel (perking up): oh, right! I completely forgot. I should check in
with him. **
Ruth(playfully): but Isa, don’t you have to help Lydia with chemistry,
too? You shouldn’t be bending over backward for everyone!
Isabel:(smiling, forgiving) I know, but it’s fine! I like helping out when
I can.
Ruth:(with a teasing grin) you’re too nice sometimes. Just remember,
it’s not always your fault when people can’t manage!
they continue walking, chatting, when they suddenly hear commotion
further down the corridor. They exchange concern
Continue bullying scene
Instead of handing it to Sophia, she flicks the book a little farther away
with a cold grin. Ava and Mia watch in silence, their expressions
unreadable, but the tension lingers.

8
Mia (feigning concern, but her tone cold): Are you okay? You should
be more careful.
Sophia’s hands shake as she tries to gather her things. Nichole stands
up slowly, staring down at her with a smirk.
Ava (mocking): Poor thing, so lost. Maybe we should give her a tour?
Nichole's smile fades slightly as she straightens up, her voice dropping
to a calm, more serious tone.
Nichole (soft, but with a warning edge): This place isn’t easy for
people like you. Better learn fast...
Her smile returns, dripping with sarcasm.
Nichole (mock sweetness): Wouldn’t want you to have another
accident, right?
(Cut to Isa and Ruth)
Ruth: you’re going to get involved in, aren’t you? Here give me the
books, I’ll take it to the library, you go ahead
Isabel: Thanks, Ruth.
(ISABEL approaches the scene, noticing the tension. She walks up to
Sophia, extending her hand to help her up.)
Isabel (gently): Hey, I’ve been looking everywhere for you! Come on,
we’re already late.
Sophia takes Isabel’s hand, grateful for the intervention.
Isabel (turning to Nichole, with a casual smile): Oh, hey, Nichole! I’m
kinda in a rush. See you later!
(Isabel's tone is light, defusing the situation without escalating it.
Nichole narrows her eyes, knowing Isabel is sidestepping the
9
confrontation but unable to challenge her in front of others. Nichole
crosses her arms, a hint of annoyance in her expression, but she doesn't
say anything.)
(Sophia and Isabel walk away)
Sophia (quietly, grateful): Thanks.
Isabel (casual, with a shrug): Hey, it’s no big deal.
They fall into step together as they walk down the hallway.
Isabel (warmly): I’m Isabel, computer major.
Sophia (smiling, introducing herself): I’m Sophia. I’m a computer
major too! I was just looking for my class...
Isabel (nodding with understanding): Oh, freshman, right? Your class
is the third one from the left.
Sophia glances ahead, relieved to spot the classroom.
Sophia (smiling): Thanks. I didn’t realize how confusing this place is.
Isabel (grinning): You’ll get used to it. See you after class then?
Sophia (with a nod): Yeah, see you!
INT. EMPTY CLASSROOM – DAY
ISABEL and RUTH sit at a table, casually reviewing their notes.
Ruth: So, how did your study session with Lydia go? Did you actually
get anything done?
Isabel(laughs): Kind of! We definitely talked more than we studied,
but it was nice to take a break from the stress.
Ruth: Sounds like you need a study session with snacks next time!

10
Isabel chuckles and then looks out the window, spotting Sophia in the
corridor.
Isabel: Oh, there’s Sophia! She waves and calls out warmly.
Isabel: Hey, Sophia! Come join us if you’re free!
Sophia looks over, surprised but smiles, and walks into the classroom.
Sophia approaches, smiling.
Sophia: Hi, everyone!
Ruth: Ohhh, hey! You’re the new girl! I’m Ruth.
Sophia(grinning): Oh, hey, I’m Sophia!
Isabel(smiling): Thanks for your help earlier today, isabel. I really
appreciate it.
Ruth(teasingly): Oh, that’s just a routine for her. Everyone calls her
Isa, and by that, I mean the whole campus!
Isabel (playfully rolling her eyes): Oh, stop exaggerating, won’t you?
Sophia (laughs): So, are you friends with her too?
She nods toward the door, indicating Nichole.
Isabel(curious): Who, Nichole?
Sophia (hesitant): Yeah... uh, Nichole...
Isabel (with a shrug): I used to be friends with her. Not anymore,
though.
Sophia (curious): Why? What happened?
Ruth (cutting in, with a scoff): Who would want to be friends with her
and her little minions? They’re insufferable with that attitude.

11
Isabel (thoughtful): Well, Nichole wasn’t always like that... She used
to be nice. Not the bully you saw this morning.
Sophia (concerned): Then what happened?
Ruth (shrugging): We don’t know. She just changed out of nowhere.
Isabel (changing the subject, warmly): Anyway, forget all that. You can
hang out with us from now on. Don’t worry about Nicole.

(different day)
Campus: Quick shots of Sophia, Isabel, and Ruth spending time together
on campus—sitting on the lawn, walking to class, and laughing over
lunch. The mood is light and carefree, showing their friendship
solidifying.
Time Skip: One Month Later
The three girls are chatting outside their classroom when Amy
approaches them, looking a bit hesitant.
Amy: Hey, guys... um, have you noticed that Nichole hasn’t been
coming to class?
Ruth: Yeah, we did notice. What’s going on?
Amy: Well, the Student Welfare Council asked me to check up on her
since her father passed away last month.
Isa: Oh, I didn’t know that...
Amy: I’m really busy right now, so I’m not sure I can go. Do you think
you could check on her for me, Isa?

12
Isa (pausing, looking unsure): Uh, I guess I can... Just text me the
address, I suppose.
After Amy leaves, Ruth turns to Isa, exasperated.
Ruth: Ugh, Isa, why did you agree to check on her? Don’t you
remember how she bullied Sophia?
Isa: Well, what else was I supposed to say? There’s nothing wrong
with just checking on her...
Sophia: Yeah, I think Isa’s right.
Ruth: After what she did to you, Sophia? Really? Great, now we’ve
got an Isa 2.0 here...
Isa: Let’s just go after class, okay?
Scene: Outside Nichole's House
Sophia, Isa, and Ruth stand in front of Nichole's house, nervously
glancing at each other. They knock on the door, but no one answers.
After a moment, they check the address again.
Ruth (frustrated): Ugh, I knew this was a bad idea.
She leans against the door in exasperation, and to their surprise, the
door creaks open slowly.
The camera reveals a messy interior, scattered with beer bottles,
crumpled tissue papers, and other clutter.
Scene: Inside Nichole's House
Sophia, Isa, and Ruth step hesitantly inside, calling out for Nichole as
they make their way through the mess.
Sophia: Nichole? Are you here?

13
They navigate around empty beer bottles and crumpled tissues, and
suddenly, they spot Nichole’s mom passed out on the couch, a beer
bottle in her hand.
Sophia (whispering): This is bad...
Ruth glances around the disarray and notices Nichole entering from
another room, holding a plastic bag. She looks exhausted and
depressed, her expression angry.
Only Ruth sees her, as Isa and Sophia are facing the other way.
Ruth (quietly to herself): Yep, this is veryyyyy bad...
(Nichole suddenly screams from the doorway.)
Nichole: WHAT DO YOU THINK YOU’RE DOING INSIDE MY HOUSE?!
GET OUT OF HERE THIS INSTANT!
(Sophia, gathering her courage, speaks up.)

Sophia: Hey, Nichole, we were just checking up on you...

(Nichole yells back, her voice filled with fury.)
Nichole: I DON'T WANT ANYONE CHECKING UP ON ME! ALL THREE OF
YOU, GET OUT RIGHT NOW!
She pushes them all out of the house and slams the door shut behind
them.
Ruth (rolling her eyes, sassy): Great, just great. Told you guys this was
a bad idea. Next time, I’m bringing snacks instead!
Isabel: Maybe she was just in a bad mood?
Sophia: Yeah, I think so too.

14
Ruth (playfully dramatic):so glad that you’re both paying attention to
me!
Sophia: How about we come again tomorrow?
Isabel: Sounds like a plan!
Ext. Nichol's house - day
The girls approach the house again, a mix of determination and nerves.
Ruth: I can’t believe we’re doing this again.
Isabel: Don’t worry, Ruth. We’ve got this! They knock on the door,
and Nichole’s mother, looking a bit dishevelled but conscious, opens
the door.
Nichole's mother: Who are you girls?
Isabel: Hello, aunty! We’re Nichole’s friends.
Nichol's mother: Ohhh, come in, dears! The house is a mess; please
don’t mind it.
As they step inside, they exchange polite smiles and glances at the
disarray.
Sophia: it’s okay! We just wanted to check in on Nichole.
Nichol's mother: Thank you, that’s very sweet of you. She’s been
having a tough time. You girls sit, nichole just went out. She’ll be back
soon. I’ll take a shower and be back by then.
Isabel looks around the messy house.
Isabel: The house is a huge mess. Should we clean up a little bit?
Ruth: Great idea! I can’t stand this mess.

15
They look for brooms and start cleaning. As they’re making good
progress, nichole suddenly walks in from outside.
Nichole(startled)what are you doing?!
Before nichole can scream, isabel approaches her calmly.
Isabel: Nichole, it’s okay. We understand. You don’t have to go
through this alone.
Nichole (voice trembling): No, you don’t understand, Isabel! Please
just leave me alone!
She’s on the verge of tears. Sophia and Ruth step forward, concern in
their eyes.
Sophia: Nichole, I may not know you well, but I can see that this isn’t
the real you. You’re not a bully; you’re not—
Ruth(gently): If you’re doing this to hide your situation, please don’t.
We’re here for you.
Nichole (breaking down): I... I just don’t know how to handle
everything. With Dad being gone and Mom’s condition, I didn’t know
how to react. I’m really sorry. I really am.
Ruth steps closer, her expression softening.
Ruth: Yes, just talk to us. You don’t have to carry this weight alone.
As nichole cries, the girls comfort her. She takes a deep breath and
starts to explain.
Nichole: I acted the way I did because I felt so lost. I’m sorry for how I
treated you, Sophia. I didn’t mean to be cruel.
The girls nod, reassuring her.

16
Sophia: Thank you for saying that, nichole. We really want to help
you.
Just then, Nichole's mother comes out of the shower, looking pleasantly
surprised.
Nichol's mother: Oh wow, you girls cleaned up the house! How sweet
of you, dears.
Isabel: We just wanted to help out.
Nichol's mother: Let me get you something to eat. You must be
hungry after all that work!
(They all eat together, their laughter echoing through the room.; the
end; lens blur)

REPORT
Just before the summer vacation of 2024-2025 our class was
divided into groups for our English project.
Our group consisted of 8 members (Shradha,Micah,Carol
Brigil,Carol Treesa,Devina,Aleena,Ann,Cheryl).
Our goal was to present the theme that positive changes in
individuals creates a ripple effect, influencing those around us
and the world .
So as our group had many discussion sessions and finally came
up with an idea to show the emphasis on the topic.
We finally made a script where each and every one was
assigned a role with equal importance which everyone did
perfectly.
There was a consistent open line of communication via
WhatsApp and Instagram which we all utilized.
Thanks to our teachers' support and the group members' effort
the project came out well as they expected.
The use of real-life experience and characters to support the
chapters key points and to point out the importance that
positive changes creates a ripple effect was lot of fun and huge
pleasure, and we all are glad that we were able to produce a
valuable and efficient project.
