3. Visit Gartner’s report on Top 10 SC in Asia Pacific Region for year 2024.

company out of these 10. Call it as CO1.
You are hired as a Global external consultant to evaluate the supply chain performance of CO1
Get as much information as possible about this company including its financial details in the public
domain (Mention clearly the source you are referring to).
Assess the SCM performance of CO1 on a scale of 1 to 10 (10 – Excellent, 1: Poor) .Your assessment
should be based on a few parameters (at least 5). Decide these parameters. Justify choice of your
parameters. Make a template to assess the overall SC performance of the company based on these
parameters.
Now take a domestic company (which should be different from CO1). Specifically mention the name of
this company, call it as DOMCO. Now compare the supply chains of CO1 and DOMCO on at least 5
parameters. Tabulate your response.
4. Take a product/service. With respect to this product describe in detail, the Customer Order Cycle AND
Replenishment Cycle in detail. Visualize both modes (purchasing via a physical Retail shop as well as
purchasing via virtual/online mode) Draw a flow chart of the various processes involved in these cycles.
Articulate importance of Cycle view of the supply chain with respect to the chosen product/service. List
at least 5 challenges in the Replenishment Cycle.
5. Choose a typical retail shop on the campus. Visit the shop. Mention the name and location (if possible,
attach a photo of the shop (with date and timestamp).
Now specifically answer the following questions:
a. What are the items/services sold by this shop. How are these items procured?
b. What are the steps involved in procuring these items? List challenges in this procurement.
c. Estimate the inventory (per month in Rupees) kept in the shop. Justify the basis on which you are
making the estimates. Also make an estimate of ITR (Inventory Turn Over Ratio) for the shop.
d. List at least 3 performance measures by which the financial efficiency of the shop can be decided
from SCM point of view. Give justification for these measures.
e. What are the challenges faced by this shop in managing material flow, information flow and the
money flow? Justify the same.
