SPAGHETTI WITH TOMATO SAUCE FROM

ITALY
1° STEP: INGREDIENTS

2° STEP: SAUCE PREPARATION.

3° STEP: COOK THE PASTA.

I am Alessio, I am 25 years old and i am Italian, my mother taught me how to
cook since I was 15, because I was almost always at home alone at
lunchtime.
I state that I am not a chef, I work in the field of catering but it is a passion i
have for 10 years now.

In this book I will explain in 3 simple steps how to cook spaghetti with Italian
sauce.
I state that this is a basic recipe, then each person customizes it as it wants by
adding / removing different spices / fillings.

Are you ready?

Let’s start!
1° STEP: INGREDIENTS

This example is for 5 people:

-Spaghetti 400gr
-Tomato sauce 800g
-Garlic 1 Clove
-Basil 4 leaves
-Salt
-Extra virgin olive oil

The kitchen utensils we need are:

-cooking pan to prepare the sauce.
-cooking pan for coking pasta.
-ladle.
-colander.
2° STEP: SAUCE PREPARATION.
In this second step we begin to prepare the sauce; First we take the garlic, cut
it into two small pieces and put it in the pan together with the extra virgin
olive oil.

Let the garlic cook for 2 minutes together with the extra-virgin olive oil on
medium heat, then add the tomato sauce and a pinch of salt.

At this point, after setting the fire to a minimum, we can put a lid on top and
cook for about an hour, mixing it occasionally, the sauce must boil very
gently.
After about an hour we can turn off the fire and add the 4 basil leaves.
This Step can be done just before cooking the pasta, or once prepared the
sauce, we can put it in a container in the fridge and then consume it within 48
hours.
3° STEP: COOK THE PASTA.

Once we have our ready-made sauce, we can proceed to cooking pasta.

Fill our pot with water, set the medium / high heat and place a lid on top, now
we wait for the water to boil.

After a couple of minutes the water has reached the boiling point and add a
little salt.

We set the fire to medium level and dip the pasta.

Let’spush pasta slightly so that it is completely immersed in water.

In the pasta package there are written the cooking minutes, then we will begin
to count the minutes of coking as soon as we put the pasta in the water, in this
case 9 minutes.
Every now and then we turn the pasta with the ladle to not make it stick.

Once the cooking time has elapsed,we taste a “spaghetto” to see if the coking
is to our liking, than we turn off the fire, we position the colander inside the
sink, with two potholders we take the pot paying attention and empty
everything inside our colander.

At this point we have to pour the pasta cooked in the sauce.

We are almost there ... the last step is to light the fire to the minimum and
mix the pasta well with the tomato sauce.
We are almost there ... the last step is to light the fire to the minimum and
mix the pasta well with the tomato sauce.
Mission accomplished!

Our spaghetti with tomato sauce are ready!

I personally like to add a lot of Parmesancheese then 400gr I eat them alone:
