1. Objective
(K & S) : Be able to tell about their own birthday and ask others by using expressions such as “My birthday is ”, “I
want…” “What do you want”

(Abilities to T, J, & E): Tell someone what the student wants, ask their friends what they want as their birthday
present and make birthday card to them

(Motivation, Humanity): Ask friends what they want, exchanging Birthday card each other.

2. Expressions to be learned (number, name of the month, What do you want, When is your birthday, My birthday is)

3. Objectives in terms of skills/areas


Listening When asking friends what they want, students should be able to listen them through the
interactions and understand what they said

Speaking be able to tell about their own birthday and ideal birthday present and ask others

Speaking (this unit doesn’t require the opportunitiy students present themselves in front of class but
(Presentation) it might be a good idea to have several model speaker as an example)

Reading Be able to understand words which appears in the unit

Writing Be able to write alphabet and get them familiar with them
(when students create birthday cards at the last of the unit)

1 To understand the name of the month, seasons,
