I. OBJECTIVES:
At the end of the lesson, the students will be able to:
a. define a haiku,
b. show positive attitude towards learning haiku, and
c. compose a haiku poem.

The teacher will introduce the objectives of the
lesson to the students

c. compose a haiku poem.
C. Discussion
The teacher will discuss the history of haiku
poem and what is haiku
Definition of haiku:
*It's only three lines long, and each line has a
specific number of syllables ( 5, 7, and 5).
* Focused on nature: It often talks about natural
things, like trees, flowers, animals, or the seasons.
* It uses simple words and imagery to create a vivid
picture in your mind
* haiku does not have rhyme scheme
D. Application
The teacher will group students into 4 groups and
instruct the students to find the objects hidden
inside the classroom.
IV. EVALUATION
The students will compose their own haiku poem.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Create a visual representation of a haiku poem. Use any art medium you prefer
(drawing, painting, collage, sculpture, etc.). explain how it connects to the chosen haiku.
Discuss the elements of the poem that inspired your artistic choices.
