Formulae of Derivatives

Constant Rule: d/dx [c] = 0, where c is a constant.

Power Rule: d/dx [x^n] = n * x^(n-1), where n is a constant.

Sum Rule: d/dx [f(x) + g(x)] = f'(x) + g'(x)

Difference Rule: d/dx [f(x) - g(x)] = f'(x) - g'(x)

Product Rule: d/dx [f(x) * g(x)] = f'(x) * g(x) + f(x) * g'(x)

Quotient Rule: d/dx [f(x) / g(x)] = (f'(x) * g(x) - f(x) * g'(x)) / (g(x))^2

Chain Rule: d/dx [f(g(x))] = f'(g(x)) * g'(x)

Exponential Function: d/dx [e^x] = e^x

Exponential Function with base a: d/dx [a^x] = ln(a) * a^x

Logarithmic Function: d/dx [ln(x)] = 1/x

Logarithmic Function with base a: d/dx [log_a(x)] = 1/(x * ln(a))

Sine Function: d/dx [sin(x)] = cos(x)

Inverse Sine Function: d/dx [sin^(-1)(x)] = 1 / sqrt(1 - x^2)

Inverse Cosine Function: d/dx [cos^(-1)(x)] = -1 / sqrt(1 - x^2)

Inverse Tangent Function: d/dx [tan^(-1)(x)] = 1 / (1 + x^2)

Inverse Cotangent Function: d/dx [cot^(-1)(x)] = -1 / (1 + x^2)

Inverse Secant Function: d/dx [sec^(-1)(x)] = 1 / |x| sqrt(x^2 - 1)

Inverse Cosecant Function: d/dx [csc^(-1)(x)] = -1 / |x| sqrt(x^2 - 1)

Hyperbolic Sine Function: d/dx [sinh(x)] = cosh(x)

Hyperbolic Cosine Function: d/dx [cosh(x)] = sinh(x)


Hyperbolic Tangent Function: d/dx [tanh(x)] = sech^2(x)

Hyperbolic Cotangent Function: d/dx [coth(x)] = -csch^2(x)

Hyperbolic Secant Function: d/dx [sech(x)] = -sech(x) * tanh(x)

Hyperbolic Cosecant Function: d/dx [csch(x)] = -csch(x) * coth(x)
