1. Realize the phrase below in SATB style. Be sure to provide the key signature and add accidentals where
needed. Provide the following analysis:

• Lead sheet notation above the staff


• Identify each type of 64 as pedal, passing, or cadential
• Provide a contextual analysis (T, PD, and D symbols) below the Roman numerals.
• Identify the type of cadence that ends the progression above the staff where it happens.

2. Write a four-measure phrase following these parameters:


• Key: E major (provide the key signature); meter: 2/4, 3/4, or 4/4 (write the meter signature)
• Chord progression (one chord per measure): I–ii65–V7–I
o Provide the lead-sheet notation above the staff and the Roman numerals and contextual
analysis below the staff
• Accompaniment pattern: broken chord, arpeggiated, or Alberti bass (put this in bass clef)
• Melody: move by step into and out of any notes that don’t belong to the chord (treble clef)
