Profile Summary

I am delighted to express my happiness that I got great

opportunities to work in the area of academics, administration, skill
education and incubations. I am glad that I succeeded in the
promotion of skill and need based education. I wish to continue my
endeavour in future as well.

While working as Pro Vice-Chancellor of Dr. Babasaheb

Ambedkar Marathwada University, Aurangabad, I initiated efforts to
carry out the Academic & Administrative Audit of the University
Departments first time in the history of the university and successfully
completed it. University five-year prospective plan is also successfully
prepared where we used the survey data of 15000 stakeholders from
different sectors as a base. Government of Maharashtra appointed me
as a nodal officer for establishment of Saintpeeth at Paithan. Proposal
for Saintpeeth central university and Saintpeeth sub-centre is
submitted to central government and state government. I have taken
initiative to establish Skill Development Institutes at Jalna, to promote
skill education at university level. Also, during my tenure, I started
new Soft-Skill Development College, Community College and bachelor
of Vocational College in university jurisdiction.

While perusing the works of NAAC assessment & accreditation,

the utmost care was taken for quality enhancement & performance at
academic & administrative level, as a result of that the University
received ‘A’ grade with CGPA score 3.22 in reaccreditation by NAAC in
which for curriculum framing the University got 3.72 CGPA. The Earn
& Learn Scheme was entitled with only Rs. 1100 to Rs. 1300 per
student. In order to ensure the minimum maintenance charges for
students the amount has been enhanced to Rs. 2000 per student. The
fellowship for wards of farmers & agricultural labourers was
reinitiated that has been discontinued. The pending works regarding
the Model College at Ghansavangi have been reinitiated &
preparations were advanced so that college is shifted to its own
building by June 2019.

1
While working as a Chairman of Sub-centre Campus of University at
Osmanabad initiatives were taken to start girls’ hostel at campus area.
Community Radio programme is started for education in collaboration with
Dnyanvani. Academic MOUs are signed with various universities of Japan,
China, Spain, Nepal & Sri Lanka for international exposure to staff &
students.

Three Incubation centres were established in the University campus in

order to promote incubation of business ideas from different stakeholders &
encourage the students & faculties. Initiatives are taken to commence 73 skill
courses, 24 community colleges & 15 B. Voc. Courses in academic year 2018-
19.

Moreover, from past 29 years I am engaged in improvising quality of

Higher Education at UG & PG level and wherever I got opportunity to work on
various academic committees in the University and other bodies like Senate,
Board of Studies, Examination Committee, Research Committee etc. As a part
of this mission Deogiri College secured highest CGPA (3.75) in NAAC
accreditation 2016 in the entire Maharashtra at that time.

I am instrumental for initiating Skill Education Program under PMKVY

scheme of central government. I have also taken the initiative to start first
Vocational degree program (B. Voc.) in Maharashtra State in Jewellery Design
and Gemology at Deogiri College, Aurangabad. As a part of its success, I am
working as a technical expert for Gold Cluster, Department of Entrepreneur
Development, Government of Maharashtra.

Being from rural background, I closely witnessed the gambling

associated with uncertain rain and farming. I therefore, decided to tackle this
issue with strategic water conservation plans. I am determined to concentrate
my research in the field of Hydrogeology and Petrology. I studied various
Watersheds, Soil types, Rock Strata & Hydrogeological Characters by using
modern technologies like Remote Sensing and GIS based tools for effective
watershed development. Since last 15 years, I am providing my services to
various NGO, Educational institutes, Private Industries & Government of
Maharashtra for planning effective Watershed Management Programs like
Jalyukt Shivar Yojna, Shivkalin Jalsampada etc. These efforts led to achieve
maximum success in government schemes to minimize water scarcity and
helped to provide potable water to rural communities of Maharashtra state. It
included the sites at Sandas Village of Tq. Kalamnuri, Dist. Hingoli, GP-10
Watershed of Aurangabad District & Sindkhedraja Watershed of Buldhana
District and they are the most successful schemes I consulted. The issues for
drinking water are permanently resolved at these places.
