Practical: 1 – MS Word Processing


Aim:
❖ To create a new document.
❖ Formatting the document.
❖ Save & print the document.

Requirements:
• PC with Windows

• MS Word 2007
Procedure:
1. Select Start → All Programs → MS Office → MS Office Word 2007
2. Click the New Document button on the menu bar.
3. Start typing paragraphs on the given topic.
4. After typing, Click the Save button on the menu bar.
5. Select Home Tab → Select and change the font size , font style & text colour, etc.,
6. Select Insert Tab → insert the page number, picture, table etc.,
7. Select Page Layout Tab →Select and change the page orientation, size , border and colour etc.,
8.
Choose Office Button --> Print command on the menu bar.
9.
Select the Options like print range, Number of copies, Printer name etc.
10.
Click OK.

Result:
Able to create a new document, paragraph typing, formatting, save and print the document.
Practical: 2 – Spread Sheet
Aim:
❖ To prepare a worksheet in MS Excel.
❖ Formatting the worksheet.
❖ Save & print the worksheet.

Requirements:
• PC with Windows

• MS Excel 2007

Procedure:
1.
Select Start → All Programs → MS Office → MS Office Excel 2007
2.
Choose Blank Workbook
3.
Enter the data as given.
4.
To rename the worksheet

i. Right click the sheet tab of the worksheet.

ii. Choose Rename.

iii. Enter the desired name in this case “Pay Details”.

Choose the Page layout Tab.
6.
Select Header and Type the Header text
7.
Select “Go to Footer” and insert Page number.
8. To calculate the total.

9. Type the formula ( For example: =SUM(C3:E3))

10. To find the average value.

Type the formula (For example: =AVERAGE(C3:E3))

Select the data.
13.
Click on the Insert → Chart.
14.
Choose Column chart.
15. To save this file → type the file name ‘Student Mark sheet’.

Result:
❖ Able to create a worksheet, formatting, calculating, draw the charts and save and print the worksheet.
Practical: 3 – Power Point
Aim:
❖ To create a presentation in MS Power Point.
Requirements:
• PC with Windows

• MS Power Point 2007

Procedure:
1. Select Start → All Programs → MS Office → MS Office Power Point 2007
2. Select → any one layout → click OK
3. Select Insert menu → Select slide number
4. Type the slide number & insert date
5. Select Insert tab → Choose Picture → click the picture in your file.
6. Select Design tab → choose the design
7. Select Animations tab → Choose the animation
8. Save the file
9. Press F5 key to view the output.

Result:

Thus, the presentation is created along with the picture.
