Reflective: These questions are open-ended, rather than closed, meaning that multiple
answers are accepted. Reflective questions elicit learners to predict or analyze.

Divergent: These questions are also open-ended. Students are encouraged to answer
questions and participate in discussions that can range from a variety of topics. With a
divergent question, the teacher should not expect any answer to be correct or incorrect. All
answers should be accepted.

Evaluative: With evaluative questions, students would develop a critical perspective of


something. For instance, comparing and contrasting two different concepts, or supporting
their reasoning in an evidence-based argument.
