1. The invention of AI has impacted art, music, and fashion in many ways. When creating a piece of
art, Artificial Intelligence is able to generate unique pieces using any given theme in seconds. It
can also collaborate with human artists, sparking ideas and improving the overall quality of the
piece of art. Music AI can quickly analyze and synthesize large amounts of data, creating new
musical ideas, and allowing the artists to focus on the quality of their work rather than the
quantity. It can also be used to generate intellectual lyrics and rhymes for an artist that may be
struggling to come up with ideas. In fashion, Artificial intelligence can visualize different
materials and patterns before physically producing pieces of clothing. This shortcut is crucial to
improving diversity and minimizing the path from the design process to the store.
2. One example of AI generating creative content would be simple text generation. AI models use
complex machine learning algorithms to predict the next word based on previous word
sequences. This ranges from writing lines of program code to witty Instagram captions. The
creativity is interesting because many humans would not think of the things that the AI models
would be producing.
3. Some ethical considerations for the use of AI would be ownership, transparency, and bias. When
using AI to generate something you are responsible for, there is an issue when using something
that AI made for you and taking ownership of the work. This means your work is not genuine
and you relied on automated answers that could be biased to get the job done. When using AI,
the system can also influence human decision-making creating an unaccountable transparent
response.
4. I believe that AI will cause people to be lazy and less creative. Why would anyone research a
topic and put in hard work when the chatbot can just do it for you? If you are making a song and
are stuck when trying to come up with clever rhymes, it would be a lot easier to just use the
tools that are trained to produce lyrics that rhyme and follow a logical order rather than
brainstorm for hours. This certainly would mean that your song isn’t genuine, which defeats the
purpose of making music to express yourself and be creative.
5. I don’t think that AI has the potential to completely replace human creativity. I believe that
when it is used correctly, the combination of human creativity and AI can be powerful when
automating certain tasks and providing inspiration. AI will never be able to have experience or
emotion which serves as the foundation for creative thinking. Creativity isn’t about generating
something new but expressing perspectives and emotions, which Artificial Intelligence can’t
replicate. In the future, I could see some jobs being replaced by AI. For example, roles in supply
chain, research, financial analysis, and anything else automating routine tasks. But when a job
involves some creative thinking or manual labor, Artificial Intelligence cannot help with that.
