Project Status Report:

Week 6-8

Task progress:
● Sketched out some ideas for pages.
● Created storyboards that explain the usage idea and impact of our application.
● Created a wireframe of most of the pages in our application.

Effort by team member:

Name Hours
Ryan Webb 3 hrs
Ian Fanfair 3 hrs
Alec Kovalczik 11 hrs
Bikramjit Singh 2 hrs
Andrew Ermer 2 hrs

Reflection:
There are a lot more things to consider about usability in mobile development than we
realized. With the limited screen real estate, it can be difficult to clearly define functionality like
what every button does because you can’t always label them with words. Figma is a powerful
tool and you can very quickly create a lot of design but it can be finicky.

Week 5

Task progress:
● Designed a social model diagram
● Created 5 usage scenarios
● Completed task analysis
● From feedback added more requirements

Effort by team member:

Name Hours
Ryan Webb 2 hrs
Ian Fanfair 2 hrs
Alec Kovalczik 2 hrs
Bikramjit Singh 1.5 hrs
Andrew Ermer 1.5 hrs
Reflection:
We added some new UX requirements based on our WAAD diagram from last week and then
went ahead to make a social model diagram, create usage scenarios, complete a task
analysis and more. This deliverable helped us get a better idea of the layout of our app based
on the pathways users would have to take to achieve the usage scenarios.

Week 4

Task progress:
● Wrote out Work Activity Notes for each interview
● Separated all Work Activity Notes into different categories
● Worked on creating the WAAD using the Work Activity Notes categories
● Completed Interactive Design Requirements
● Completed Usability Goals

Effort by team member:

Name Hours
Ryan Webb 2 hrs
Ian Fanfair 2 hrs
Alec Kovalczik 3 hrs
Bikramjit Singh 2 hrs
Andrew Ermer 2 hrs

Reflection: Besides the main tasks due this week, we had to do some extra backend work like
moving out our notes from the main document. The WAAD itself was pretty straight forward
and we found these colorful boxes that we could use to replicate sticky notes on a board.

Week 3

Task progress:
● Updated System Concept from D0 feedback
● Completed Work Roles section
● Combined interview notes into the document
● Completed Workflow Diagram
Effort by team member:

Name Hours
Ryan Webb 2 hrs
Ian Fanfair 1.8hrs
Alec Kovalczik 2 hrs
Bikramjit Singh 2 hrs
Andrew Ermer 2 hrs

Reflection:

● There were no cats and dogs listed under animals, which was surprising. Especially
since the original concept for the app was for cats only.
● Will add cosmetics to the shop that can be purchased for the pet
● Discussed the idea of friends being able to send gifts to each other

Week 2

Task progress:
● System Concept completed
● Team Logistics, including the team roles, summary, setting up meeting times, and the
technology that will be used
● Began coming up with interview questions and how we will conduct the interviews
● We created a weekly meeting time on Fridays at 5pm.

Effort by team member:

Name Hours
Ryan Webb 1.5 hrs
Ian Fanfair 1.5hrs
Alec Kovalczik 1.5 hrs
Bikramjit Singh 1.5 hrs
Andrew Ermer 1.5hrs

Reflection:
We’ve evolved the idea from just cats to animals in general. We also discussed a little bit
about the aesthetic vision for the app (to be evolved more), and that we will use Figma to
design the prototypes.
