Introduction:
With the aim of fostering unity among the Islamic Ummah, serving the Holy
Quran, and sharing the wisdom of the world’s distinguished Quranic
scholars, the Iranian Academics Quranic Organization (IAQO), affiliated with
the Academic Center for Education, Culture and Research (ACECR), is
hosting the 7th International Quran Competition for Muslim Students. This
event will take place in the year 2025, corresponding to the lunar year 1446.

Here are the general eligibility criteria for participants:

1. Participants must possess the required technical skills in their chosen

field.

2. Participants must hold citizenship and a valid passport from the country
they represent.

3. Participants must meet the age requirements for their chosen field (as
per the field table).

4. Participants must be permanent residents of the country they represent.

5. Participants must be enrolled as students at the time of the competition.

6. Participants are required to wear formal attire appropriate to the dignity of

the Holy Quran at all stages of the competition, both in-person and virtual.

Competition Categories:

Here are some important points to consider for the competition:

1. Each participant is permitted to compete in only one category.
2. Once the registration form has been completed and submitted,
participants cannot change their chosen category.
3. The organizing body will cover the costs of the participant’s visa, round-
trip tickets, accommodation, and meals during the competition in Iran.
Nevertheless, participants are responsible for any personal
expenditures, internal travel costs, or alterations to travel dates and
flight itineraries that they request.
4. Participants are required to submit the following documents along with
their registration form through the embassies and cultural centers of the
Islamic Republic of Iran: a 3-minute video file of their recitation, a photo
of the first page of their passport (which must be valid for at least one
year), a high-quality personal photo (which should be taken recently and
be less than 500 KB in size), and a student card.
5. Any documents or works received after February 18, 2025, will not be
considered.

university study documents along with the other required documents.

*Competition Phases:
1) Tahqiq Recitation
Participants in this category are required to select one of the provided pieces
and perform a recitation. They should adhere to the rules of Tajweed, Waqf,
Ibtida, Sawt, and Lahn, as per the judging criteria of the competitions held by
the Islamic Republic of Iran. Participants should record their recitation in a 3-
minute video file (up to 20 MB in size) and submit it via the communication
channels provided by the competition organizers.

up to and including verse 74
2 Surah Al-An'am From the beginning of verse 102
up to and including verse 110

2) Memorization of Entire Quran

The preliminary memorization test of the Holy Quran will be held online. Each
participant will be scheduled for a specific exam time and will connect via a live
video call set up by the organizing team.
During this test, each participant will be asked to answer three questions posed
by the judges, with each consisting of 12 to 15 lines. These questions will cover
different sections of the Holy Quran: one from the first ten Juzes, one from the
second ten Juzes, and one from the last ten Juzes. Participants are required the
recite the verses in Tarteel style.

Note: This stage will be recorded by the competition organizing committee.

Participants who achieve the minimum required score will advance to the
preliminary (virtual) stage, where the video of their performance will be
reviewed and judged by the panel of arbiters.
