Subject: Request to File an FIR Regarding Theft by Domestic Servant

Respected Sir/Madam,

I, Amit Kumar, residing at 24/1 South Behala Road, Kolkata - 700061, am writing to formally
lodge a complaint regarding a theft that occurred at my residence and request the filing of
an FIR.

I had employed a domestic servant named Sanjive Ghosh allies Bapi Ghosh S/O Asit Ghosh ,
who was residing at 2 Harimohan Ghosh Road, near manjur Basti , west Bengal. He had
been working at my premises as a cleaning servant for more than a year. His Election Card
ID number is WB/23/147/000353.

On 6th June 2024, the said servant stole Rs. 10,520 in cash, a Xiaomi Redmi 9A mobile
phone, and a Titan watch from my premises and absconded. Initially, I did not report this
matter to the police due to the trust I had developed in him over the period he worked for
me. However, when I discovered that the money was missing from my drawer, I attempted
to contact him. I called him on the stolen phone, and although the phone was switched off
initially, I eventually managed to reach him. He assured me that he would return the stolen
items and money, but he has not kept his word and has since remained untraceable.
Initially, I was not aware that the money was also stolen. It was only after a few days, when I
checked my drawer, that I realized the money was missing. Furthermore, I am unsure if
more items have been stolen, but the mentioned items are those I am currently aware of.

The bill for both the watch and the mobile phone are in my name. Additionally, the number
in the stolen mobile phone, +91 94770 39003, is also registered under my name.

After exhausting all attempts to resolve this matter personally, I am now compelled to bring
this to your attention and formally request you to file an FIR and assist in recovering my
belongings and taking appropriate action against the culprit. I want the perpetrator to
receive his due punishment and request you to take necessary actions as soon as possible.

The details of the stolen items are as follows:


1. Cash: Rs. 10,520
2. Mobile Phone: Xiaomi Redmi 9A
3. Watch: Titan

I kindly request you to register my complaint and take necessary steps to investigate this
matter. Your prompt action will be greatly appreciated.
