Objective:
Work as a team to conduct a comprehensive analysis of managerial functions, roles, and
decision-making processes within a selected organization. Explore key aspects of management,
including Mintzberg's roles, managing environmental and cultural constraints, and the
application of managerial functions. Additionally, analyze influential decision-makers and their
decision-making styles within the organization.
Instructions:
Team Size: 4 members
Minimum Word Count: 1,600 words (400 words per team member)

General Expectations:

 The report must reflect a genuine effort, with insights grounded in textbook material,
class discussions, and personal analysis.

 Avoid plagiarism or AI-generated content. Originality and application of understanding


are paramount.

 Incorporate relevant examples and organizational contexts to substantiate your analysis.

Structure and Member-Wise Distribution:

1. Introduction, Mintzberg's Roles, and Decision-Making Styles (Approx. 400 words):

o Provide an introduction to the selected organization, including its industry, size,


and context.

o Discuss the importance of effective management in organizational success.

o Explain Mintzberg's managerial roles and their relevance to the organization.

o Analyze the decision-making styles of influential decision-makers.

2. Managing the Environment and Cultural Constraints (Approx. 400 words):

o Assess how external environmental and cultural factors influence managerial


decisions and operations.

o Discuss how managers address environmental constraints and manage cultural


diversity.

o Provide practical recommendations for better handling these challenges.

3. Application of Managerial Functions – Planning, Organizing, Leading, and


Controlling (Approx. 800 words):

o Planning and Organizing:

 Highlight the importance of planning as a managerial function and its


practical application within the organization.

 Analyze the organizational structure, delegation, and coordination


mechanisms.

o Leading and Controlling:


 Evaluate the leadership styles used within the organization and their
impact on motivation and performance.

 Discuss the importance of controlling as a managerial function, focusing


on feedback mechanisms and performance evaluation.

4. Conclusion and Recommendations (Approx. 400 words):

o Summarize key insights from the analysis.

o Propose actionable recommendations for improving managerial practices,


motivation, and decision-making.

o Suggest job design improvements (e.g., Job Characteristic Model, Job


Enrichment, or Job Enlargement) and extrinsic motivational strategies.

 Headings:

 Line Spacing:
 Text Body: 1.5 line spacing.
 Headings: Single line spacing.
 Alignment:
 All headings should be left-aligned.
The text body should be justified.
