Activity: Building a Model of the Solar System

Description: Students will work individually or in small groups to create a model of


the solar system using various materials such as clay, paper mache, or other craft
supplies. The goal of this activity is to reinforce understanding of the planets in our
solar system, their relative sizes, positions, and distances from the sun. Additionally,
students will have the opportunity to demonstrate creativity and craftsmanship as
they construct their models.
