Literacy ‘The Tiny Seed’ by Eric Carle and ‘I will not ever, never eat a tomato’ by
(including Phonics)

Sequence events to complete a task. Record instructions, introducing
imperative verbs. Reflecting upon events that have happened create a
mini journal. Express our opinions and record ‘likes’ and ‘dislikes’. Use a
story mountain to retell a story. Innovate a familiar story to create their
own.
Phonics: Recap sound set 1
Handwriting: p, h, b, k, l and i
Talk Through Stories: ‘A Little Bit Brave’, ‘Dogger’ and ‘Leo and the
Octopus’
Maths Explore the different ways we can make each number up to 10
(composition) and represent these. Become secure in identifying one more
and one less with numbers up to 10. Revisit subitising. Begin to explore
and recall doubles number facts up to 10. Recognise odd and event
numbers. Compare the height of objects. Begin to talk about time and
money in everyday language.
Communication Talk Tactics: Instigate (I think...because...) and Build (Yes, I agree...and I
and Language think..., I disagree.... I disagree, because...) to be explored through use of
images on ‘Once Upon a Picture’
Rhyme Time Children to share rhymes with their classmates. To listen
carefully and respond to a performance.
Physical Gymnastics: Explore the use of body to move in different ways, including

healthy choices in our diet.
Understanding the Plants: Understanding what plants need to grow; know the names of
World common plants and their parts; comment on changes observed over time.
Places: To know the features of a map an create our own simple maps.
Make observations and comments about seasonal changes.
Understanding important celebrations, including Easter.
