(the students will greet while standing)

columns of your chairs.

III. MONITORING ABSENCES

Now, let's have the attendance for today. When I call your name say present

*RECAP*

Before we proceed to our discussion for today, let's have a recall about we tackled yesterday. We tackled
about?

Conjunctions…

Ang when we say conjunctions what does it mean?

(answers)

alright we talked about conjunctions, wherein these are the words that connect words, phrases, clauses, or
sentences, helping to create smooth and coherent connections in writing and speech.
Now I assume everyone is ready for our next topic!
BUT WAIT--- OF COURSE AS A TEACHER WHO LOVES HIS STUDENTS SO MUCH – I wanna
know what you guys are feeling today. Let’s track your mood, are you guys hapy? Sad? Tired? Excited?
Or uwing-uwi? Let’s see!

IV. ICEBREAKER/ Inform of learning objectives:

Now that I know that some of you are feeling tired already, I prepared an energizer before our class
begins!

[EXECUTION OF ICEBREAKER]

And that’s all for our energized! I hope you guys are now alive, alert, awake, enthusiastic!
Now for the 2nd time, I want to ask you again if your mood changes?

(Answers)

Alright! Let’s now move on to our topic

V. PRESENTATION/DISCUSSION
For hinting about our lesson for today, I want to ask you guys this question, ‘’How many parts of speech do you
know?’’ because basically one or parts of speech is what we are going to tackle today,. ANDDD- It’s my number
1 favorite!

(answering)

Today we are going to learn about interjections! (skipping the objectives)

Do you have any idea what is an

interjection?

(answers) alright!

Can anyone read the powerpoint?

Interjections are words or phrases that express strong feelings. They often stand alone and are usually

followed by an exclamation mark. For example, 'Wow!', 'Ouch!', and 'Yay!'.

Can anyone give another example of interjection?

( Yipee! Stop! Oh no!)

Very good
Can anyone read with emotion the example given?
(reads)
As stated here, we use interjections a lot in everyday speech! Just like the given example here, ‘’Wow! I
love that!’’ we can say this phrase when we saw something that we love! What do you guys love ba?
ANSABEHH!
(various random responses)

Alright, for another example, we have here…

Can anyone read with emotion the example given?

(reads…)
‘’Ouch! That hurts me.’’ Which is also applicable in our daily lives, right? You could be hurt by something
or someone! Whether it is physically or emotionally, right? Alright! What is the interjection in the sentence?

Ouch!

Very Good!

Alright, for another example, please read in chorus. (reads) Now what is the interjection here?
To further explain the interjections, let’s get to know the punctuating interjections!

(Explanation) When an interjection is spoken calmly, it doesn't need to disrupt the flow of the sentence
dramatically. Instead, you can simply place a comma after the interjection and continue with the rest of the
sentence.

now can anyone of you give one example of punctuating interjection that is softly spoken?

(answers)

Alright, now in this interjection, it is now more spoken with emotion.

Explanation: When an interjection is spoken with strong emotion, it is followed by an exclamation point to
convey the intensity of the feeling. The exclamation point indicates a higher level of excitement, surprise, or
urgency compared to a comma. After the interjection and exclamation point, the next word in the sentence
is capitalized because it marks the beginning of a new sentence or thought.

can anyone of you give one example of punctuating interjection that conveys the intensity of the feeling?

(answers)
I have here more examples of common interjections that we used

Now to relate the interjection your interests, I related it to the one of the most movie this year! What do you think it
is?

(guessing)

Alright, it’s no other than – INSIDE OUT 2 that I’ve assigned you to watch!! Recently, Pixar released this
amazing masterpiece that surely engaged us! Am I right? Have you guys watched it?

(Yes!)

Alright, before I ask you some questions about the movie, I want to establish a rule when reciting. You just
have to say your favorite food and raised your hand when you want to recite. Ready? Alright! First, of
course, who is the main character of the movie?

(Riley!)

Yes, of course, it's Riley! And now I wonder what emotions are presented in the movie?
(Joy, Sadness, Anger, Disgust, Ennui, Fear, Anxiety, Envy, and Embarrassment)

Amazing! Lastly, who is your topmost favorite out of all emotions or characters in the movie? Alright!

With that, I want you all to say and act the facial expression of these following emotions in chorus!

[page 19-28 tentative]

VI. ANALIZATION

VII & VIII: GENERALIZATION & APPLICATION

Okay, now do you have any questions or clarifications? If none, let’s sum up because we will be having
activities.

Today, we learned that Interjections are words or phrases used to express strong emotions or reactions.
They can convey feelings such as surprise, joy, anger, or sadness and are often punctuated with
exclamation marks or commas to reflect their intensity.
By using interjections appropriately, we can enhance our communication, making it more expressive and
impactful. Whether in casual conversations, writing, or public speaking, interjections help us connect with
others and convey our emotions succinctly and effectively.
