approved DBR for Bored Tunnel Section sent vide letter dated 15.03.2024.
2.1.2 RDSO recommendation for the approval of Schedule of Dimensions (SoD), January 2024
sent vide letter dated 15.03.2024.

2.1.4 Extension to validity of the Interim Speed Certificate of Kanpur Metro (Amendment No.1)
issued on 15.02.2024.
2.1.5 Recommendation for Technical Approval of Full Height Platform Screen Door (PSD)
System in Underground Sections of Kolkata Metro rail Corporation Ltd(East West Metro
Route) sent to Railway Board on 06.02.2024.
2.1.6 RDSO Recommendation sent to Railway Board vide letter dated 08.02.2024 for the approval
of Annexure C2 of Chennai Metro Rail Project, Phase II.

4.1 Railway Boards Approval Received :


4.1.1 Design Basis Reports (DBRs) for Underground Bored Tunnels and Elevated Metro Stations
for Kanpur Metro Rail Project of Uttar Pradesh Metro Rail Corporation Limited (UPMRCL)
approved by Railway Board vide letter dated 16.02.2024.
4.1.2 Design Basis Report (DBR) for underground work by NATM tunnelling method and cut and
cover method for MMRCL approved by Railway Board vide letter dated 12.02.2024.
4.1.3 Fastening System 336iw (Annexure C2) of MPMRCL for Bhopal and Indore Metro Rail
project approved by Railway Board vide letter dated 16.02.2024.

4.2 RDSO Inputs given to Metros:


4.2.1 RDSO observations on Annexure C1 of Chennai Metro Phase II sent vide letter dated
15.03.2024.
4.2.2 Comments on ISC/PSC of JMRC and MMOPL from S&T point of view.
4.2.3 Letter dated 18.03.2024 sent to MMOPL requesting to clarify some aspects such as thereason
for not processing the extension of Provisional Speed Certificate (PSC) of 8W CMVafter
lapse of more than 4 years of expiry of its validity and reason for requesting extensionof PSC
in place of issue of FSC (as asked by MP dte) related to the CMV.
4.2.4 RDSO observations on SoD of Chennai Metro Phase II sent vide letter dated 09.02.2024.

4.2.6 RDSO observations on Annexure C1 of Ahmedabad Metro Phase II of GMRC sent vide
letter dated 02.02.2024.
4.2.7 Acceptance of certificates and documents submitted for Extension of ISC of Jaipur Metro
Rail Corporation sent to Metro vide letter dated 28.02.2024.
4.2.8 RDSO observations on the design documents of 4W CMV sent to Nagpur Metro via online
portal on 21.02.2024.
4.2.9 In principle Approval of Annexure-B for Kanpur metro project communicated to Metro vide
letter no. UTHS/UPMRCL/KMRC/P01/012021 on date 12.02.2024.
4.2.10 MPMRCL submitted Annexure-B rolling stock electrical, design documents for Bhopal &
Indore Metro Rail Project via online portal on date 07.11.2023. The same has been examined
and comments have been communicated to Bhopal Metro of MPMRCL via online portal vide
letter no. UTHS/MPMRCL/BMRC/P01/112020 on date 13.02.2024.
4.2.11 In response to RDSO’s comments BMRCL submitted Annexure-B, reply documents for E -
W & N -S Corridors including four Extensions and Reach -5 via online portal on date
09.02.2024. The same has been examined and comments sent to BMRCL via online portal on
date 29.02.2024.
4.2.12 RDSO’s observations on pending compliance of Annexure-D2 of Kanpur Metro Rail Project
has been sent to UPMRCL on 02.02.2024
4.2.13 RDSO’s observations on Annexure D2 of Bhopal Metro Rail Project has been sent to
MPMRCL on 16.02.2024

4.2.14 Chennai Metro have submitted design documents for CMRL phase II project of
Annexure-B Rolling Stock Electrical through online portal on date 30.12.2023. The
same has been examined and comments sent to CMRL through online portal on
date 22.03.2024.
4.2.15 DMRC have submitted design documents for DMRC MRTS project of Annexure-B
Rolling Stock Electrical through online portal on date12.02.2024 . The same has
been examined and comments sent to DMRC through online portal on date
02.04.2024.
4.2.16 DMRC have submitted design documents for DMRC MRTS project of Annexure-D1
through online portal. The same has been examined and comments sent to DMRC on
date 22.03.2024 through online portal.

4.3 Training: Nil.

4.4 HR Initiatives: Nil.

4.5 Swachhata :Directors and supervisors in UT Dte did inspection of House Keeping
and Cleaning work regularly and counselled Supervisor and Housekeeping staff for
maintaining cleanliness up to the mark.

5. Steps taken to improve customer interface (only new initiatives in the month be
listed):
5.1 It is planned to make necessary changes in the online UT portal to make it more user
friendly for Metros. RAILTEL has been advised to make arrangement in online
portal to smoothen the process of document approval.

6. Digital Initiatives:
6.1 All hard files have been scanned and new documents are available on on-line portal.
6.2 UT Directorate is making all Correspondence with Metro Rails and Railway Board
through e-mail and digitally signed letters.

6.3 Updation of information pertains to UT Directorate available on RDSO website
(public & intranet)

7. Assistance required:
7.1 Posting of an officer as DD/Mech./UT, as post is vacant since 11.01.2023.
7.2 Posting of an officer on post of ADE/Civil/ UT, as Post is vacant since June, 2022.
7.3 Posting of an officer on post ofADE/Electrical/UT, as post is vacant.
7.4 Training requirements of the Officials of UT Directorate have been advised to ADG
RDSO vide this office note No. RDSO-UT0LKO (OS)/68/2021 Dated 21.02.2022.
7.5 Training in following fields is also required through International institutes like
KRRI, RTRI or RZD:-
i) High Speed Train Technologies (Track, Bridges, Signalling, OHE and Rolling
Stock).
ii) Metro Rail System Technologies (Rolling Stock, CBTC and TCMS).
