BACKGROUND OF THE STUDY

to meet the diverse needs for their students and provide immediate feedback on student progresses,
Like analyzing scores and outputs on Spreadsheet documents. Over 50 years, people treat
technology as an essential property to a variety of tools into the lessons. Upon its history, it has made
its way into the U.S. Education System as a necessity to prepare for an increasingly digital future. America
shifted much of its attention in education to Math and Science while embracing technology
as particular. (Christensen.,D.2023).

“The Vocational Education Act in 1963” funded the use of technology in schools. As a result,
students learned programming languages like BASIC, and PCs gradually made their way into some
classrooms., But the importance of acknowledging the potentials and limitations are also crucial. As students
may not have equal access to gadgets and equipments inside or outside the
school, which can counterfeit their studies. And the risk of over-reliance on gadgets among students
had also takes place, which impedes and compromise their learning. By considering both Potential
and Limitation of Technology, students can thoughtfully integrate it into their classrooms to maximize
its benefits while resolving its drawbacks. Ultimately, Technology should be a supplement to learning,
rather than a replacement for traditional teaching methods. (Sun.,J.2011).
The purpose of this study is to examine the impact of technology on the academic
performance of ICT students. There have been reports of both regression and accelerated progress in
learning, which have been attributed to the use of electronic gadgets in classrooms. This study aims to a
comprehensive analysis of the effects of technology on the academic performance of ICT students,
encompassing both the positive and negative aspects. The findings of this research will be valuable to
educators and policymakers in developing strategies for the effective integration of technology in the
classroom.

The present study aims to investigate the potential and limitations of incorporating
technologyin the classroom for ICT students in KVSHS. The research endeavors to examine the
effectiveness of technological tools in enhancing students' learning experience and academic
performance. It is intended to provide insight into the role of technology in modern education, particularly
in the of ICT education. By analyzing the data collected from the study, the researchers intend to discern
the advantages and disadvantages of incorporating technology in the classroom. Additionally, the study
aims to provide recommendations for optimizing the usage of technology in order to fully realize its
potential benefits. By exploring the impact of technology in the classroom, the study seeks to significant
contributions to the field of education and inform future policies and practices.

The TVL Strand is designed to equip students with technical and vocational skills that can be
applied in various. It offers a range of specialized tracks, including Agriculture, Fishery, Industrial Arts,
Home Economics, and Information and Communications Technology (ICT), Students in the TVL Strand are
trained to become skilled workers or entrepreneurs in their chosen field upon graduation. And the
Kasiglahan Village Senior High School is Located into 1K1 1860, Kasiglahan Village, Rodriguez, Rizal.
SIGNIFICANCE OF THE STUDY

This study provide valuable information of the school administrator, teachers, parent, students,
future researchers and society thus giving them basis aware for using technogy practices of Grade 11 & 12
Students in Kasiglahan Village Senior High School.

School Administrator – This study may serve as a basis for the improvement of school curriculum
and activities that can be useful enhance the knowledge of using Technology practices of the students.

School Administrator — refers to this study being serve them as a basis for improvement of school
curriculum and activities that can be useful to enhance the knowledge of using Technology practices of
students.

Teachers — refers to the result of this study that gives insight on how broad the knowledge of
Grade 11 & 12 Students of KVSHS on Technology.

Parents — refers to this study that will be an immense help for them to assist and give more
knowledge to about the Potential and Limitation of Using Technology. Students — refers to this result of study
that may serve an example to them, on how they will be more aware of how they use the Technology inside the
classroom.
Future Researchers — refers to the outcome of this study shall supply as baseline information for
advanced studies to widen knowledge about this study.

Society — refers to the perception of public students by society can influenced, giving them the
benefits of using the technology inside the classroom conducting this study will bring benefits to society by
recognizing the Potential for using the technology inside the classroom faced by these students, by establishing
a shared understanding through this research. Consequently, this can lead to the implementation of improved
practices and indirectly contribute to the development of society.
