Eric Bondeson- Pink Whistle Program Starting in January, probably January 11-29. Eric will have a form. More information later. If you have a pain, check it out, do not wait. Take care of yourself. Guest Speaker- Tim Driver Athletics have changed over the years. A great loss of integrity. Coaches & Officials. What do we have in common? Whats best for kid? High Standards, Pride in Professionalism, love the game, & competitiveness. Working with the coach: Managing vs. Controlling A great official has Confidence. Good official is feared center. Worried about what may happen Conversation before Confrontation. Coach got ejected at state because official and coach escalated a situation over a miscommunicated dialogue. Diffuse without Deferring You do not have to step down. Step up. Make a positive compliment to a coach. Your team works hard. Strategy Knowledge. What is the objective? Ask a coach What did you see? Is there anything I am missing? To the coach, Even so, Despite that, None the less..... We agree Avoid assumption Unavoidable story. Ask the coach if he can talked to his player before he gets out of control. Evaluation: Doug, Matt, Doug Reviewed the process of the Ad Hoc Committee.. Ad hoc committee came up with recommendations based on member input. There was a blog for members to input. Recommendations were made to the board to implement some of the recommendations. Matt talked about why we are giving a range score at the site. This came from the membership based on evaluators given real positive comments at site and then having a score that was very different. Evaluations stared November 29th Varsity enter JV scores on game assign. You need to see 16 minutes of the JV game. JV if game time 7 or 7:30. No JV normally if at 8pm.

Rules Committee- Riaz

Live ball- When does ball become alive. Jump ball touched, Throw in & Free throw when ball is at the disposal of the player. Team Control Player or team in control passed or interrupted ball. Shot, throwing, try or tap, jump ball-no team control.

Pre game- Matt Morales. Absolutes in pregame- Crew integrity Go over Points of emphasis. 2 and through in pregame Talk about it. Offensive player dribbles up to the defender and then pass into that vertical plane. Rod Mar- 40 point rule 2nd half Clock runs except time outs, injuries and free throws. Editorial comment by Thornley Lame. It saves about a minute

We are continuing with the video program. If you want to be taped and receive a DVD, let Mr. Thornley know. The cost is $35 to you per game. You can have your own cost or divide the cost by 2 or 3. These funds will be deducted from your final school pay ledger. We have PNBOA embroidered gear available on line to order. If you miss a meeting you can check it out.

League director said lots of officials not giving a great effort and less money. Arbiter issues: Problems with arbiter. Availability, Travel, Sharing tab, pending games, game fees and blocks. Short Sleeves. Call Fouls Open games posted on the announcement page. Must click your rec view to see. Assignor- John Snow cancels- You will get the same game back. If you cannot work it, e-mail John. Check the notes tab on your assignment. There may be some valuable information.

Veterans please help your new varsity official evaluate If you are available, then dont get a game and subsequently make other plans, you need to make sure you change your availability JH concerns- Uniforms Dont fret it at the level. Undershirts, arm sleeves. Go over the shot clock with the low level games bench personal. Bring the shot clock information sheet from our web. Working with apprentices? Make sure you have a conference. Clinic & Test- Lets get it done. Fans in the stands 50% of fans dont know if the ball is pumped or stuffed. The other 50% do not know where they parked their car. Don't go looking for trouble, trouble will find you. Use common sense President- Tim Give a phone call and let people know what they missed at todays meeting. PSA Passing test By December 17th Joe Thompson has rule references for each test question.
