Y3 Iot Project

The document outlines a project titled 'Design Smart Irrigation System Based on IoT' aimed at addressing water wastage in Rwanda's eastern province due to drought. The proposed solution involves using humidity sensors and a microcontroller to optimize irrigation by accurately determining the water needs of crops. A comprehensive materials list and software programming tools are provided to facilitate the project's implementation.

TITLE: DESIGN SMART IRRIGATION SYSTEM BASED ON IOT

PROBLEM STATEMENTS
In eastern province of Rwanda drought are likely to occur. In sunny days crops dry due to lack of rainfall.
And in this party of country, they used to keep kettles which needs water in sunny days. The water needs
to be conserved but in case of irrigation, the water is not conserved as it is required because some times
they use fewer water or they irrigate much water than required due to lack of precise amount of water
required. This leads to wastage of water, power and lack of enough harvest
To solve this problem, our group has decided to design the smart irrigation system which will use
humidity sensors and microcontroller to detects the amount of water in soil and then decide the amount of
water required by the crops
