You are an IT support technician for XYZ Corporation, and you have received a ticket from a team member who
is experiencing network connectivity issues on their workstation. To troubleshoot, you need to verify their IP
configuration details, including IP address, subnet mask, gateway, DNS servers, and MAC address. You have
been asked to perform this check in command prompt on Windows platform.

Imagine a university library where a star topology network is set up to manage various library operations and
resources. At the center of this network, there is a main server in the librarian’s office, controlling and overseeing
all connected systems within the library. Five different nodes represent specific systems and resources distributed
throughout the library. Below are the topology design details and device labeling:

 Central Switch: Library management server in the librarian’s office (should be labeled with your
VUID /student ID)
 Node 1: Digital catalog system in the main reading area
 Node 2: Security camera system covering library entrances and exits
 Node 3: Temperature and humidity control system in the archive room
 Node 4: Self-checkout kiosk in the lobby
 Node 5: Digital announcement board near the entrance

This star topology network enables centralized monitoring and control, enhancing the library's operations and
services for students and staff. Each node connects directly to the central server, allowing streamlined
communication and improving resource management and security.

Task: Using Cisco Packet Tracer, design and structure the Star Topology according to the described university
library network. Configure each device to connect properly to the main server.

After completing your network design, take a screenshot of the network setup and paste it into your MS Word
solution file.
