EMU PRO16 Pinout
EMU PRO16 Pinout
Important note!!!
This document describes pinout for EMU PRO16 with long serial numbers (12 characters).
For EMU PRO16 with short serial numbers (8 characters) use separate document called
“EMU PRO16 Pinout (Rev. C or older)”.
Connector symbols:
Power pins:
Pin type Description
+12V supply Power supply for the ECU and H-bridges.
Can be connected as constant or switched battery voltage. Delayed turn off will not function
without constant supply.
+12V switched +12V input to switch the ECU on or off.
All power ground pins must be connected to the main ground point (chassis, engine, battery).
ECU supply and all ground switched outputs are sourcing current through those pins.
+5VA, +5VB +5V sensor supply.
There are 2 separate sources A & B. Each source can provide up to 2A of current.
DGND Digital ground.
Digital signals (frequency, duty cycle, switches) must be connected between digital input and
digital ground. Do not connect those pins to the external ground point.
AGND Analog ground.
Analog signals (voltage) must be connected between analog input and analog ground. Do not
connect those pins to the external ground point.
Communication pins:
Pin type Description

CAN #1 High/Low CAN bus, configurable speed, used for communication with peripheral devices.
Configurable speed (125, 250, 500, 1000kbps). Fully configurable communication. Software
controlled termination resistor.
LIN LIN network.
Pins used to connect a thumb drive for data logging. Group of pins from B9 to B12 should be used
when connecting a USB socket.
