1 Job Summary

This role is responsible for the coordination, management and execution of proactive and reactive
maintenance activities that require a higher level of support that the one offered by the 1st Level
Operations. This shall ensure that the services provided to customers are continuously available and
performing to Service Level Agreement (SLA) performance levels.

2 Responsibility
 2nd Level Assurance Support Activities

 2nd Level Incident Management

 2nd Level preventive maintenance

 Assist with Problem Management

 Software update/upgrade

 Configuration Management; Service creation, provisioning & testing

 Nodes introduction, expansion, acceptance and commissioning.

 Customer support handling

3 Key Competence Elements


 Core Network knowledge (MSC, MGW, HLR, HSS, STP, SBC, CUDB, HLR-FE, HSS-FE,
IP-STP)

 Hands-on Experience of AXE 810, APZ 212 50/60, APG43L Fault and configuration
handling

 Hands-on Experience of CPP platform fault & configuration handling

 SS7 protocol stack and troubleshooting

 SIP / Diameter protocol stack and troubleshooting

 Linux/Unix hands-on experience

 Amos/MoShell scripting/Element Manager

 Understanding of Mobile Networks 2G/3G/4G

 Deep knowledge in Core Network interfaces with other nodes (i.e. PS core, Charging, RAN)

 Call scenarios signaling flow knowledge is a must


4 Key Qualifications
 Degree within Electrical Engineering / Telecommunication Engineering / Computer Science /
Computer Engineering.

 3-5 years experience

 Knowledge of Managed Service telecom operations practice
