INTRODUCTION
The following pages will guide you step by step how to make a
consistent tax-free profit by laying horses to lose on the betting
exchanges.
There are many reasons why people end up losing on the exchanges.
Greed takes over and nearly everyone will push it that little bit to far and
end up laying a winning horse. Or they aim to high in the market and
look for extremely high priced outsiders. How often has it been that it
ends up coming in and wiping your funds out in one full swoop.
1. Before the betting exchanges came along you could only bet through
traditional bookmakers. Using the betting exchanges to make LAY BETS
you are becoming the bookmaker!
There are only 3 THINGS YOU NEED FOR YOUR CONSISTENT PROFITS
A WORKING SYSTEM
DISCIPLINE
A STRAIGHTFORWARD
STAKING PLAN

you are ready to learn the system.

THE SYSTEM
Part 1: Basic Rules
THE RULES BELOW WILL GIVE YOU A STRIKE RATE OF 88% but these
are just the basic rules so please read the whole manual
before you place any lays!
10. The Price to Lay the Horse on Betfair MUST be UNDER 10.00.
4.
STEP BY STEP GUIDE
(Part 1 – Basic Rules)
Open both websites www.betfair.com and www.racingpost.co.uk
Got to www.racingpost.co.uk and open the card section (marked in red directly
under the Racing Post logo on the left upper side of the page )
We can see from all the races at Perth only one race is qualifying.
All the other races on that day at Perth have less 10 runners
or are not handicap races.
Now we know the race and we click on the 3:05 at Perth
Remember Rule 4 ?
Its pretty easy to spot those runners. Just take a look if there is a small grey picture
beside the horse name with C – D – CD – BF or also combined. I have marked them
with red arrows
Basically just look if there is this small picture available or not. That’s’ it
Check Rule 5: The horse MAY NOT BE THE TOP WEIGHT (marked blue).
Check Rule 6: The horses LAST RUN MUST BE OVER 5 DAYS (marked
yellow).
Check Rule 7: The horse MUST BE OVER 4 YEARS OLD (marked green).
Rules 9 -10
We can see only Wind Of Hope is under 10 on the exchange, Cadore, Titus Bold and
The Banastoir are well above the maximum of 10.00
RESULT: In this case Wind Of Hope finished 5th
PLEASE NOTE:
These are just the basic rules. It needs much more to become e
professional horse racing layer.
The 2nd part is VERY IMPORTANT. PLEASE READ THIS CHAPTER CAREFULLY
The Pro-Lay-System will give you on average 6-8 selections a day but you should just
choose 1-2 lays from your daily Pro-Lay-System selections. Don’t lay all selections
blindly! I will show you the exact methods I’m using to make a living with just a few
minutes work a day. All the information below can be combined or used individually
but ALWAYS TOGETHER WITH THE 10 BASIC RULES FROM Part 1.
It’s PART 2 that sets you apart from the simple Joe Punter. Let’s move on.
Both horses, Ninjago and Cosmic Chatter, pass the 10 basic rules.
FIRST OF ALL check the price on Betfair. We can see both selections are well under
10.00 with Cosmic Chatter at 7.4 and Ninjago at 8.2
Take a look at the price movement. Look if the Horse is a DRIFTER (horses
showing lack of support in the market) OR A STEAMER (horses being well
backed). Avoid streamers.
Go back to the Racing Post website. There should be at least 2 other runners in
the race with the same number of ticks (or better) for ABILITY in the
POSTDATA section of the Racing Post Website and the selection should not be
mentioned as POSTDATA SELECTION.
Cosmic Chatter (in blue) 2 Ticks. 10 other horses have the same number and higher.
Both horses have many competitors with the same number or greater and none
of both selections is listed as POSTDATA SELECTION.
Check the TRAINERS AND JOCKEYS list on the Racing Post Website.
Both selections have a trainer and jockey percentage which is under 30%.
Cosmic Chatter – Trainer Ruth Carr 10% - Jockey James Sullivan 10% = 20%
Check if the horse has WON HIS LAST RACE. Try to avoid LAST TIME WINNERS.
Ninjago was unplaced in his previous race and Cosmic Chatter 3rd.
Look if there is the presence of other horses which are COURSE- and/or
DISTANCE WINNERS and/or BEATEN FAVOURITES.
In our example race we can clearly see lots of course- and distance winners and one
beaten favourite. All marked with red arrows.
Check the RPR and TS values. There should be at least 2 OTHER RUNNERS
WITH THE SAME OR GREATER VALUE THEN YOUR SELECTION and the
horses should not be mentioned as RPR SELECTION.
The RPR value of both selections is 78 and there are 3 horses with the same value.
Ninjago has a TS value of 71: There are 2 other runners with the same value and 1
with a greater value. Cosmic Chatter has a TS value of 51: There are 7 other runners
with a greater value and 1 with the same value. None of both selections is listed as
RPR SELECTION (market with red arrow)
SUMMARY - Comparing both selections
With Cosmic Chatter not mentioned on the spotlight verdict, a lower TS value with 7
other runners with a greater value and 1 with the same value, a lower combined
Trainer Jockey percentage and a lower price on Betfair we will go with Cosmic
Chatter.
In this case also Ninjago lost but we recommend you lay just one horse per race.

STAKING PLAN
The most straightforward staking plan is to divide your total bank into a number of
equal parts (points) and to commit one point per bet.
We recommend a 50 points bank.
Example:
If you have a £1000 betting bank, divide this by 100 which is £20.00. So you now
have 50 points at £20.00. For each selection lay a stake of one point (£20.00).
Let's say at the end of a week your bank has grown to £1220. Divide your bank by
50 (£1220 / 50 = £24.40). Your new stake of one point is now £24.40 per selection
for the next week.
You decide on your own risk tolerance but always remember to keep your total bank
size comfortable for you.
PLEASE LEARN THE SYSTEM WELL BEFORE YOU ACTUALLY BET WITH
REAL MONEY. YOU MUST BE 100% CONFIDENT!
