1. This question paper contains 38 questions. All questions are compulsory.
2. This Question Paper is divided into 5 Sections A, B, C, D, and E.
3. In Section A, Question no. 1-18 are multiple choice questions (MCQs) and question
no. 19 and 20 are Assertion - Reason based questions of 1 mark each.
4. In Section B, Question no. 21-25 are very short answer (VSA) type questions,
carrying 02 marks each.
5. In Section C, Question no. 26-31 are short answer (SA) type questions,
carrying 03 marks each.
6. In Section D, Question no. 32-35 are long answer (LA) type questions,
carrying 05 marks each.
7. In Section E, Question no. 36-38 are case study based questions, carrying 04 marks
each with sub parts of the values of 1 ,1 and 2 marks each respectively.
8. All Questions are compulsory. However, an internal choice in 2 Questions of
section B, 2 Questions of section C and 2 Questions of section D has been provided.
And internal choice has been provided in all the 2 marks questions of Section E.

32. The angle of elevation of a jet plane from a point A on the ground is 60°.
After a flight of 30 seconds, the angle of elevation changes to 30°. If the jet plane is
flying at a constant height of 3600√3 m , find the speed of the jet plane in km/hr.
33. Prove that the tangent to a circle is perpendicular to the radius through the
point of contact.
Using the above, find the length of OP, where O is the centre of a circle
and PT is a tangent to the circle at the point of contact T from external point P
and PT= 30cm and diameter of the circle is 32cm.
34. Solve the following system of linear equations graphically:
x – y + 1 = 0 and 3x + 2y – 12 = 0.Determine the coordinates of the triangle
formed by these lines and the X-axis.

Rahul rode his bike initially at an average speed of 40km/hr. Upon noticing a
road sign board indicating a speed limit of 35km/hr, he slowed down and rode
at an average speed of 35 km/hr for the remaining part of his journey. He covered
a total of 190 km in 5 hrs. For how long did Rahul maintain an average speed
of 40 km/hr?

36. The Fox Theatre creates a “theatre in the round” when it shows any

(iii) If there is room for 25 rows, how many chairs will be needed to set up the
theatre?

37. Nidhi and Shikha have planned to meet at a park. Nidhi’s house is at point A(-2,3)
