First Day

R: It's our absolute pleasure to welcome you all to the 1-week Short Term Training Program
on “MODELING THE WATER RESOURCES ENGINEERING PROBLEMS” for
practicing Engineers organized by Civil Engineering Department of IITRAM, sponsored by
SERB-DST under Social Scientific Responsibility (SSR) Scheme.
G: I would like to take a moment to acknowledge the dedication and commitment of each
participant present here today. Your decision to invest your time and effort into this program
demonstrates your eagerness to learn and grow both personally and professionally.
R: We are privileged to have with us a team of experienced and knowledgeable speakers who
will be guiding us through this journey. Their expertise and insights will undoubtedly enrich
our learning experience and inspire us to reach new heights.
I request honourable DG sir to welcome the guest of honour Prof. Pranab Kumar Mohapatra,
Professor, Civil Engineering Department, Indian Institute of Technology, Gandhinagar. Sir
has served as scientist B at IIT Roorkee, and has more than 25 years of teaching experience at
various IITs. Sir has also served as project associate and res. Associate Professor at
University of South Carolina.
G: We wish to commence our event by lighting the lamp of knowledge and wisdom. It's our
honour to invite honourable DG sir, Pranab Kumar Mohapatra and other faculty members on
stage to do the honours.
