♦ If a wheel and tyre combination is fitted which is not indicated

in the registration documents or in the COC paper (EEC Cer‐
tificate of Conformity), the type approval of the vehicle be‐
comes invalid in Germany. To re-establish the type approval,
the vehicle must be inspected by a recognised technical in‐
spection authority or an inspection engineer in accordance
with the German road traffic and licensing regulations section
19.2 / section 21 of the StVZO. Then, a new type approval
must be requested from the responsible registration authority.
