Our Solar System

The solar system is a big place with many interesting things. It has the Sun, eight planets,
moons, and many other objects like asteroids and comets.

The Sun The Sun is a star. It is in the center of our solar system. The Sun is very big and very
hot. It gives light and warmth to the planets.

The Planets There are eight planets in our solar system. They move around the Sun. The
closest planet to the Sun is Mercury. It is very small and very hot. The farthest planet is
Neptune. It is very cold.

The Earth Earth is the third planet from the Sun. It is special because it has water and life.
People, animals, and plants live on Earth. Earth has one moon. The moon is bright and
beautiful in the night sky.

Fun Fact Did you know? Saturn is a giant planet with beautiful rings. These rings look like
they are made of shining dust, but they are actually made of ice and rock.
