Right from my childhood, new technology, and new gadgets, have always filled me with awe. It
is evident from the facts such as Google, Facebook, Tesla and many other companies are betting
on the driverless cars, Google's Artificial Intelligence win against the Go genius Lee Sedol,
chatbots etc., that future will be driven by the automated systems.
While these examples hold true about automated systems, in the near future I foresee machine
learning algorithms gets adopted in all fields of scientific research. I feel excited about what
future innovations would be, where focus could shift from merely finding patterns to emerging
technology with human intelligence and human judgment to create an age of Artificial
Intelligence. I want to contribute to that age of evolution. Thus, an M.S. degree in Computer
Engineering (with emphasis on MACHINE LEARNING) is the logical culmination of my
passion for Artificial Intelligence and Computer Engineering in general.
Over the course of my undergraduate program, Getting acquainted with C language and raised an
interest towards programming languages. I was keen on diversifying my knowledge in
computers. Curriculum for Electronics and Communication Engineering at Anil Neerukonda
Institute of Technology and Sciences is very versatile in nature. It included both hardware and
software subjects. All these factors accrued upon to my choice of this branch. During under
graduation, programming with C and DataStructures gave me a chance to further hone my
programming skills. Learning data structures has given me a deeper insight into programming
techniques. Subjects like Computer Architecture and Organization allowed me to understand
what is happening behind the screen. The programming skills I developed have helped me excel
in courses like Microprocessors& Applications. With all the above knowledge I have gained a
total CGPA of 8.36. I stood in top ten in my class.
I was member of ISTE student community during my sophomore year. This helped me for being
up to date with several concepts in my stream. I also underwent an industrial training at BSNL in
the department of GSM & GPRS Architecture and Evolution, Visakhapatnam to understand the
concepts about working of Cellular Networking in real time. I had attended electronics and
coding workshop “ROBOCAMP” organized at a national level technical fest, conducted at
International Institute of Information Technology, Hyderabad. This helped me in gaining a good
knowledge of coding in embedded C in the field of robotics. During this workshop I had done a
project on light follower is a mobile robot which is capable of detecting and following light
source on the traveling path using logic gates and photodetectors. I was one of the volunteers for
organizing my college technical fest “Curious 2K13”. I also actively participated in paper
presentations, competitions and technical symposiums conducted at national level.
In my final year, I choose to do a project on MATLAB which titles “Detection & Area
Calculation of Brain Tumor using Morphological Image Processing”, using different
morphological operation in image processing to find the area of the tumor, which increased my
interest in working on different tools.
With interest and fair knowledge in computers I depicted suitable for a job in IT-industry. I was
among the top few students who got selected by VIRTUSA from my college, had the chance to
work for VirtusaPolaris Consulting Service Private Limited. This helped me in updating my
technical and managerial skills. I had a practical exposure to corporate life. I learned a new tool –
PEGA, a Java-based tool. I familiarized myself on this through a certification course. I learned a
lot from the project and also got an appreciation from Sandeep Ghai, Functional Design
Integrator, I also have knowledge about various tools like Eclipse–Java IDE and packages like
MS Office, databases like ORACLE, SQL and operating systems like UNIX, Linux, and
Windows, designing languages like HTML, CSS3, JavaScript and Integration like SOAP, Rest. I
always look forward to challenging development. These experiences were invaluable for me
since I learned the serviceability and functionality of various real world applications.
Computer Engineering is a program which combines the hardware and software and the
interaction between them. I found that Course provided by the University of Texas at Arlington
is versatile from Machine Learning to Computer Architecture. I always admire the technology
and want to do contribute. I am looking for a school that has world-class study and research
atmosphere, the best faculty, exceptional peers and infrastructure, an institute that can facilitate
resources to help achieve my ambitions, I apply to pursue a Computer Engineering program for
Masters in the University of Texas at Arlington. I would be grateful to you if I’m bestowed the
opportunity to pursue my graduate studies with financial assistance at your institution and I am
able to justify your faith in me.
