COURSE DESCRIPTION
Augustinian Studies and Formation 4
The principles of the Social Teachings of the
Church to underscore the call to discipleship to
Christ. The goal is to inspire Augustinian
learners to live in harmony with the Church,
embracing their individual charisms as integral
contributions to its mission, regardless of their
circumstances.

Cognitive Dimension:
● Demonstrate an understanding of the concept of
the Church by examining its historical development,
defininng characteristics, and role in society,
drawing insights from Scriptures, Saint Augustine
of Hippo, and the Magisterium.
● Critically analyze the marks, images, and mission of
the CHurch, as well as its teachings for societal
development, evaluating their significance and
relevance in contemporary context.

● Synthesize their knowledge of the Church’s
teachings and mission, integrating principles of
social teachings to propose strategies for
promoting human dignity, human rights, solidarity,
