Ethical Approval: Approval will be obtained from the hospital’s research ethics
committee before initiating data collection.
Informed Consent: Participation will be voluntary, and written informed consent will be
obtained from all participants before their inclusion in the study.
Confidentiality and Anonymity: Data will be anonymized to protect participants'
identities, and responses will be used solely for research purposes.
Right to Withdraw: Participants will have the right to withdraw from the study at any
time without facing any consequences.
A structured questionnaire will be used for data collection. The questionnaire will consist of the
following sections:
Part A: Demographic Data – This section will collect participants’ personal and
professional information, including age, gender, level of education, job position, and
years of experience.
Part B: Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) Knowledge and Attitudes – This
section will assess nurses’ awareness and perceptions regarding OHS guidelines, safety
protocols, and adherence to preventive measures.
Timeframe
The study will be conducted over a period of six months, covering phases such as proposal
approval, data collection, analysis, and reporting of findings.
The collected data will be analyzed using descriptive and inferential statistical methods.
Descriptive statistics (e.g., frequencies, percentages, means, and standard deviations) will
summarize demographic characteristics and OHS knowledge levels. Inferential statistics, such as
chi-square tests and regression analysis, will be used to assess relationships between variables
and identify factors influencing adherence to OHS guidelines.
Results
The data will be systematically collected, tabulated, and presented using appropriate statistical
methods. Findings will be interpreted to identify trends and patterns related to OHS knowledge
and attitudes among nurses.
Discussion
The results will be analyzed and compared with existing literature on occupational health and
safety in nursing. Key findings will be discussed in relation to previous studies, highlighting
similarities, differences, and potential implications for practice and policy development.
Conclusion
Conclusions will be drawn based on the study’s findings, emphasizing key takeaways, practical
recommendations, and areas for future research.
