spell...?
There are two kind of nouns, countable and uncountable. The
 Numbers 
 Numbers  first ones are those you can count, then they can be singular

1.B People and


and plural, e.g., One oragne, two oranges; One house, two
Occupations
houses; One pet, seven pets. The second ones are those you
 Present 
tense verb
can't count, then they do not have a plurar form, e.g., Meat,
"to be"
affirmative.
butter, sugar, rice; then you cannot say two meat, two butters,

NOTE: Some nouns can be countable or uncountale. E.g., An


ice cream (It is a portion of food), you can also say two ice

creams (two cones of ice cream), but if you say Ice cream by

itself, you cannot count it, you could say you have some ice

cream, few ice cream, but you can`t use it in a plural way.

With singular countable nouns you


have to use a/an according to the
sound the first letter of the noun
next to te article. E.g., An apple, a
house, a tree, an umbrella, etc.
In affirmative sentences use some
with plural countable nouns and
uncountable nouns. E.g., Some
onions, some potatoes, some
vinager, some milk, etc.
Use any with plural countable nouns
and uncountable nouns in negative
sentences and in questions.

E.g., I Don have any rice / tomatoes / ...


Do you have any soup / tomatoes /
onions ?
