Assignment 4
Assignment 4
ID2050 ASSIGNMENT #4
GROUP ASSIGNMENT (work on this as a team!)
Due: at next PQP meeting Instructions: Use this sheet as a cover page. Staple the rest of the assignment to the cover. Handwritten assignments will NOT be accepted. PUT YOUR GROUPs NAME ON THE FINISHED ASSIGNMENT. Go on line to get this and other Assignments and any related Handouts and Samples.
In this assignment you will mostly revise your individual contributions (see assignment #3) and combine them into a single team product. There are however some new parts in this assignment (in yellow), so make sure you pay close attention to what is being asked of you as a team. Even the new parts are mostly based on Assignment #3.
PROJECT COVER PAGE
Agree on a smart and evocative title for your project (based on individual titles in assignment #3) and produce an official Cover page for your project. Make sure the cover includes your team alias and the URL of your teams blog (see below). See the Cover Samples on the web for examples.
PROJECT BLOG
Create a team blog. You can use Blogger or any other free tool. You will use the blog to post any and all tidbits of information that you encounter as you continue your research. Good blog posts are going to be informative, fun and full of links to pertinent information. Ideally, you should include an image with each blog post. Eventually, you should include links to pieces of your proposal as they become available. To do that, I recommend creating PDFs of each proposal piece/chapter and uploading them to Google docs. Do not worry about making the blog outstandingly beautiful, but do try to make it decent and professional for now.
TEAM PICTURE on Blog
Take a single professional group photo. Edit it in photoshop to include your names and year/major under your picture. Post it on your new blog. Link individual photos to your names on blog. You should be able to this in the Profile section. I recommend using PicasaWeb to host your pictures, so they are webaccessible.
INTRODUCTION BULLETS
Combine the bullets each of you included in Assignment #3 and streamline them into a team submission.
INTRODUCTION MOVES 1 and 2
Write the first two moves of the Introduction. See the new Introduction Explanation and the Introduction Samples for guidance. Begin to collect FACTOIDS for these two moves. Each Move should take about one paragraph.
ID2050 Assignment #4
PROJECT OBJECTIVES
Finalize a list of 3-5 objectives based on what each of you came up for Assignment #3. Make sure you challenge each objective by asking WHY. Remember that the first 2-3 objectives relate to data gathering and to the production of results, whereas the last couple of objectives represent the more cerebral part of your project leading to analyses and conclusions. You will include your Mission and these objectives at the top of your AGENDAs from now on.
INFORMATION REQUIREMENTS
Make a combined list (table) of what you need to know in order for your project to be successful. Use the form on line as you did in Assignment #3.
