ACTIVITY – IX

CELL OPERATIONS AND SHORT CUTS


Steps for Cell Operations

1) To Delete the cell, simply press ‘Delete’ on the top of the cell or right click on the cell
and click ‘Delete’.
2) Similarly, for inserting the cells in columns and rows, right click on the text and choose
‘insert’.

3) To Increase the Height of the text or bring the text below, Use the ‘Wrap Text’ in the Home
Tab.

4) If we want to reduce or increase, the Decimal places, we can select the cell and click on
‘Increase Decimal’ and ‘Decrease Decimal’ option on the table.

5) To freeze Columns or Rows, Select the cell where you want to freeze the top row or First
Column using the View Tab.

6) To Find a particular Cell, use Shortcut ‘CTRL + F’ to find a specific Word int the Excel,
or just click on the ‘Find and Select Option on the Home Tab.

7) To Replace and Particular Word with another Word, Use Shortcut ‘CTRL + H’ or use the Tab
Options.

8) To Fill Cell with Color, Select the Cell and Click on the ‘Paint bucket’ Option in the Home
Tab.
