COURSE OBJECTIVES

Human-computer interaction is a discipline concerned with the design, evaluation and

implementation of interactive computing systems for human use and with the study of major
phenomena surrounding them [ ACM SIGCHI Curricula for Human-Computer Interaction]. The
focus of the current course is to learn diversified domain knowledge of HCI and to work on the
practical usability engineering problems. The students will perform Heuristic Evaluation and
Thinking Aloud Test on a real website to get hands on experience. At the end, students need to
write a brief report about their practical work.
