Introduction
A Bookstore Management System (BMS) is designed to streamline and automate various
tasks involved in managing a bookstore. The system allows admins to efficiently manage
book inventory by adding, updating, and deleting book records, including details like title,
author, publisher, price, genre, and stock quantity. Additionally, admins can track book
availability, set discounts, and generate detailed reports on sales and inventory. The system
also enables the admin to manage customer information, including their names, addresses,
contact details, and order history, offering a user-friendly profile section for each customer.
Through this system, the admin can easily monitor transactions, process orders, and track
payment statuses while generating reports on book sales and revenue. Security features
include setting access permissions for staff and secure login for admin users.
For customers, the system provides a smooth and easy shopping experience. Customers can
browse and search for books based on various criteria such as title, author, and genre. They
can view detailed book descriptions, check availability, and place orders by adding books to a
shopping cart. Upon completing their purchase, customers can securely check out and make
payments online. The system also allows customers to view their order history, track their
order status, and update personal information. Additionally, the system can recommend
books based on customers past purchases or browsing history, enhancing the shopping
experience.
The system eliminates the need for paper-based records, reducing overhead costs and human
error while providing a centralized platform for data management. Real-time updates on
inventory and order statuses ensure that both the admin and customers have access to
accurate information. By automating routine tasks, such as updating stock levels and
generating sales reports, the system increases efficiency and accuracy. It also enhances
customer experience by offering easy navigation, fast checkout, and order tracking features.
In terms of security, the system ensures that sensitive data, like customer contact and
payment details, is securely stored and protected with encryption.

At the first look we can say that Bookstore Management System is a perfect system but it
has many limitations that are as follow:
This is also used for list the category and books also manage the customer and books
of the bookstore.
The Bookstore Management System is used to give information of the Books to the
customer.
We faced problems like Database creation, Flow of our system, designing of front end
and backend tools, coding etc.
Only single user can use a system at a time.
In this system we cannot add a service module.
We learnt new languages like jQuery, Python, Boot-Strap, HTML, CSS, etc.
