LEVEL 2 - PRESENTATION TASK

Announcement date: Week 12


DEADLINES Deadline for task submission: Week 14
Place for presentation: In-class
Place for submission of documents used: Google Classroom

Prepare a presentation on a less-known country given in the list below including a mini
TASK
quiz with 5 questions. Present it in 4-6 minutes in 8-10 slides.

DESCRIPTION Procedure:

● Choose a country from the list.


● Research and create the fact file of the country (location, population, language,
currency, flag, climate, etc.) and talk briefly on these.
● Prepare a quiz on Kahoot, Quizizz or any other websites you prefer: Use a mix of
multiple choice, true/false, or fill-in-the-blank questions.
e.g: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xGOLi56UQ3U
➔ Your questions could be about some surprising facts, history of the country,
food, the highlights, popular destinations, famous people, animals, festivals,
popular sports, art and entertainment, traditions, clothing, etc. (*do not ask
questions about the information in the fact file)
● Allow time for your friends to answer and discuss the options on the quiz.
● When the quiz is over, reveal the answers and provide brief explanations for
each question by including some visuals.
● Wrap-up: Conclude by summarizing the key points about the country’s culture.

STUDENTS
● The files that students are required to prepare for the task (powerpoint slide, poster,
visuals, audios, etc.) should be uploaded onto the Google Classroom by 8:00 am (at
latest) on the day of the presentations (e.g. If the presentations are held on Monday, they
should be uploaded there by 8:00 am on Monday).
● Students are not allowed to upload their documents into the Google Classroom just
before their presentation in the class. Students will carry out their presentations by
opening their documents on Google Classroom. They are not allowed to plug their
memory sticks into the computers in the classroom.
● Preparing a draft is optional for the students and it will not be evaluated.
● Students are required to prepare a mini quiz and a presentation.
● Use visuals like maps, pictures, or short clips to enhance the presentation.
● Avoid copying information from online resources. Use your own words all the
time.

NOTES TO THE .
TEACHERS ● Encourage your students to accomplish all the task requirements (Language
use-Vocabulary) and to have a more interactive experience.
● Assign the task to the students from Google Classroom as students are supposed
to upload their presentation documents there.
● If the student does not include the quiz in his/her presentation, s/he gets 2.5 from
all the bands on the presentation criteria.
