BHEL Examination Pattern
FOR ENGINEER TRAINEES (ETs)
BHEL Examination for induction as Engineer Trainees has 240 Objective type multiple choice questions with four Options. The questions and options are bilingual i.e. in Hindi and English. If there is any variation between the English and Hindi versions of a question, English version is to be treated as authentic. Questions pertaining to General English will obviously be in English only. The distribution of 240 Questions will comprise following:
Subject No. of questions
a) Questions on Subject/Discipline - 120 nos.
b) Test of Reasoning - 50 nos. c) General Knowledge - 20 nos. d) General English - 50 nos.
Total - 240 nos.
Duration of test will be 150 minutes.
There will be negative marking and 1/4th Mark will be deducted for each wrong answer and one mark shall be awarded for each correct answer. Use of Calculators, slide rule, Smart Devices (Such as Smart Phones and Smart watches etc) and any other study/reference material is NOT allowed and shall lead to disqualification/disbarring from the Examination Hall.
