37. A shopkeeper sells two types of rice, brown rice (BR) and Golden Sella Rice (GSR). Study the details of
his stock, purchase, and sale of rice last week. The total quantity of rice he had at the beginning of week = 10
quintals. (1 quintal = 100 kg)
He bought BR@ Rs.75 per kg and GSR@ Rs. 25 per kg.
His total purchase (Cost Price) = Rs. 56250
He sold BR@ Rs. 100 per kg and GSR@ Rs. 30 per kg
His total profit at the end of the week = Rs. 26250

Assume that the shopkeeper bought x kg of BR and y kg of GSR and answer the following questions:
I. Form a linear equation that represents the quantity of rice, the shopkeeper has in the

38. The Mathematics teacher of a school took her 9th-standard students on an Education trip to Jaipur. The
teacher had an interest in history as well. She highlighted the use of 'Chhatri'. The word 'Chhatri' literally
means "canopy or "umbrella", which are elevated, dome-shaped pavilions used as an element in Indian
architecture, to depict the elements of pride and honour. She explained that 'Chhatri' were later adapted as a
standard feature in all buildings in Maratha-ruled states and Mughal architecture. The teacher said in 'Chhatri
one can find combination of solid figures. The structure has 6 or 8 pillars which are cylindrical in shape
having a hemispherical dome at the top.

(a) How much cloth material will be required to cover 2 big domes each of radius 2.5 meters?
(Take π = 22/7) (2)
(b) Find the volume of hemisphere if the radius of the base is 3.5 cm (2)
