SPECIMENS SUBMITTED:
1. Four (3) bullets recovered from the body of the victim marked ICC 6/11/24
2. Six (6) Cartridge case recovered from the crime scene marked EAA-2, EAA-3,
EAA-4, EAA-5, EAA-6, EAA-7 5/19/24
3. One (1) caliber 45 recovered from the crime scene marked EAA-1 5/19/24

PURPOSE OF LABORATORY EXAMINATION:


 Determine whether or not the 3 specimens have the congruency of striations or
the same individual characteristics.
 Determine whether or not the 3 specimens were discharge from one firearm.

FINDINGS:
 Preliminary examination of 6 cartridge cases revealed that they have two
firearms use for the different land marks and twist of rifling.
 Microscopic comparison revealed that the specimens 1 which has 5 bullets
possess matching individual characteristics as manifested by the ballistics marks
found in each bullet. The comparison between the specimens 1 and specimen 2,
they found out that cartridge cases marked EAA-2, EAA-3, EAA-4 and the bullets
recovered from the body of the victim has a the same individual characteristics.
The specimen 2, cartridge cases marked EAA-2, EAA-3 EAA-4, EAA-5, EAA 6
and the specimen 3 has a same individual characteristics.

CONCLUSION:
 Specimen 1 and specimen 2 that marked EAA-2, EAA-3, EAA-4, were discharge
in the same firearms with an unidentified gun. The specimen 2 marked EAA-2,
EAA-3, EAA-3 EAA-4 EAA-5and specimen 3 were discharge in the same
firearms. Overall they found out that two firearm was discharge at the crime
scene.

 The three specimens were released to PO3 ANTHONY B. VELASCO on June


10,2024
 A search for the suspect firearms, most probably revolver, must be conducted to
have a basis in establishing the particular gun where the bullets and cartridge
were fired.

PURPOSE OF LABORATORY EXAMINATION:


 Determine the marks or land and twist rifling of the specimens.

FINDINGS:
1. In the examination of empty shell that found in the crime scene.
i. Cartridge case (marked 2 evidence) they found a 1 firing pin mark on the
primer cup at the central area of the base the cartridge. 1 Shearing mark
marks found at the primer near in firing pin mark. 1 extractor marks that
found in extracting grooves. 2 chamber marks found at the body of the
fired cartridge case.
ii. Cartridge case (marked 3 evidence) they found a 1 firing pin mark on the
primer cup at the central area of the base the cartridge.1 shearing marks
found at the primer near in firing pin mark. 1 extractor marks that found in
extracting grooves. 2 chamber marks found at the body of the fired
cartridge case.
iii. Cartridge case (marked 5 evidence) they found a 1 firing pin mark on the
primer cup at the central area of the base the cartridge. 1 extractor marks
that found in extracting grooves. 4 chamber marks found at the body of
the fired cartridge case.
iv. Cartridge case (marked 6 evidence) they found a 1 firing pin mark on the
primer cup at the central area of the base the cartridge. 1 extractor marks
that found in extracting grooves. 4 chamber marks found at the body of
the fired cartridge case.
v. Cartridge case (marked 7 evidence) they found a 1 firing pin mark on the
primer cup at the central area of the base the cartridge. 1 extractor marks
that found in extracting grooves. 4 chamber marks found at the body of
the fired cartridge case.
vi. Cartridge case (marked 8 evidence) they found a 1 firing pin mark on the
primer cup at the central area of the base the cartridge. 1 extractor marks

2. In the examination of bullets that recovered from the body of the victims.
i. Bullet marked ICC-1 they found a 6 lands and right twist rifling from the
firearms with a caliber 38.
ii. Bullet marked ICC-2 they found a 6 lands and right twist rifling from the
firearms with a caliber 38.
iii. Bullet marked ICC-3 they found a 6 lands and right twist rifling from the
firearms with a caliber 38.

CONCLUSION:
 specimen 2 that marked EAA-2, EAA-3, EAA-4, were discharge in the same
firearms. The specimen 2 marked EAA-2, EAA-3 EAA4 EAA5 EAA6 EAA7 and
specimen 3 were discharge in the same firearms. The specimen 1 marked ICC-
1,2,3 and 4 has the same result.
