Project Dairy Format
Activities Planned:
Create the group of 4 members for final year project, start searching for the topics for
final year project.
Activity Executed:
In first week we created the groups of 4 members for final year project.
Finally, we created group as per the following:
1. Om Suhagir
2. Shlok Bakshi
3. Srushti Metkar
4. Prerna Ahirrao
Then, we start searching on the topics. As per our searching we told every
teammate to search a unique and different topic and collect the information
about topic. We take the suggestion from our project guide. They suggested
us many ideas like how to search topic. Our project partner search
information about topics and working on project from next week.
Activities Planned:
1. Team member find a unique and different ideas.
2. To select the 3 topics.
3. To make abstract on that topic.
Activity Executed:
As we were searching for topics then after searching of the topics all
teammates came together and discussed on each topics and we selected 3
topics for the final year project. The topics as per the following:
1. Route Share: Carpooling application.
2. ID Buddy: Id storage application.
3. Charity Connect: Donation Platform.
After selecting these topics, we made abstract on each topic.

Activities Planned:
1. Presentation on 3 topics.
2. Explanation of the project.
3. Prepare for Q & A in the presentation.
Activity Executed:
In week 3 we have presentation on 3 topics. In that we prepared Q & A for
the presentation. As per our research we found the advantages of the
project. Which can help us in explanation of the project.
We came together and practice for the presentation. We divided each
section of project presentation. Then we explained project one by one. We
made PPT and add points as per the following:
1. Introduction
2. Existing system
3. Proposal system
4. Diagram
5. Conclusion
Activities Planned:
Study on software requirement for the implementation of the project. Also check for
hardware requirement or resources use to create a software.
Activity Executed:
After the presentation, we successfully selected one topic of Donation
Portal and when we started work on software requirement then we find that
we need much software to complete the project. Then we started to search
of the required software. We find the software as per following:
1. MS Access
2. Java
As per we designing the website, we search for the website designing
related software.

Activities Planned:
We studied about the requirements we have gathered.
Activity Executed:
Front End :
- We are using Java for the front-end development. We will use java library for
building rich desktop applications with interactive user interfaces.
- It also supports various layouts and styles, allowing developers to design
responsive and modern-looking applications.
Back End :
- We have decided to use MS Access for the backend database of the application.
And we are going to use JDBC for the database connectivity for the application.
Hardware :
- Operating system : Windows 11
- Processor : Intel core i5 Octa Core
- Memory : 512 GB SSD, 8 GB RAM
Activities Planned:
We finalized the models that can be made for the software development.
Activity Executed:
- As we know that there is the need of making different diagram that will help us to
represent the system.
- We have decided to make three diagrams for the software development.
- First diagram we have decided to choose is the ER Diagram.
- Second diagram we have decided to choose is the Data Flow Diagram.
- Third diagram we have decided to choose is the Use Case Diagram.
Activities Planned:
For making the diagram we have to decide the platform were we can make the
diagrams.
Activity Executed:
For making of the diagrams the platform we have chosen is Draw.io.
- Draw.io is a diagramming or whiteboarding application, depending on which theme
is selected.
- It is not an SVG editing app, the SVG export is designed only for embedding in web
pages, not for further editing in other tools.

Making of ER Diagram and Use Case Diagram.

We made the ER Diagram first and then the Use Case Diagram.
- Use Case Diagram : This diagram represents the module and some of the task that
the modules have to perform.

Making of Data Flow Diagram.

DFD:
- DFD is the abbreviation for Data Flow Diagram.
- The flow of data of a system or a process is represented by DFD.
- It also gives insight into the inputs and outputs of each entity and the process itself. -
- DFD does not have control flow and no loops or decision rules are present.
- Specific operations depending on the type of data can be explained by a flowchart.

Gathered information is collected and integrated together.

We gathered all the information that was important for the making of the project.
- The information like project topic, existing systems’ info, proposal of the system,
drawbacks of existing system, etc.
- This information was collected and integrated and binded together and it will be
useful for us to make report of the project and to make the presentation .

- We have worked together to gather the information for the system’s
wellbeing.
- In report we have added the things that will convey the efforts that we
have made for designing the project.

- In previous semester we designed our project, we made the diagrams
needed for prior designing of the project.
- So we had completed our cycle till designing,
- In this semester we completed the tasks like coding, testing, and deployment.

- As we decided to make the application in android studio, there was a
concern of deciding the language between Kotlin and java.
- At the end we decided to use Kotlin because, it is the default language
used by the google and prewritten code is easier to execute in android
studio.

- We finalized the database management system call firebase.
- It was easier to understand and easier to connect to the project.

- In this week we just developed the frontend of the registration screen and
login screen.
- Added essential text fields and components.
