Title: Continuity and Variation

Aim: To investigate the types of variation in humans

Apparatus & Materials: measuring tape, labeling tape, pencil paper

Method:

1. Form five groups.

2. Measure the height and shoe size of each group member.
3. Identify tongue rolling, widow’s peak, state of ear lope, left and right handedness for
each group member.
4. Collect data from each group and display as class data in a tabular form.
5. Represent the data in the form of histograms and pie charts.

Discussion

Should include:
✓ Define continuity.
✓ Define variation.
✓ State the two types of variation and define (continuous and discontinuous) and give
examples.
✓ Discuss pie-charts and histograms include most common and least common trends.
