5 Install a Battery Rack
To install a battery rack, follow the instructions in Install Battery Rack.
6 Mount a Power Rack
A power rack can be mounted either on top of a battery rack or on a wall. Different mounting kits are required for the
two installation alternatives.
Steps
4. Fix the mounting kit on top of the battery rack using four
M8 screws.
5.
Position the power rack into the mounting kit and fasten
the power rack using M6 screws on the front.
Steps

to fix the power rack.
7 Ground the Power Rack
Do!
Products not connected to ground risk damage from overvoltage or overcurrent. Always ground products according
to instructions.
Note: Always connect the grounding cable before connecting any other cable.
Steps
3. Connect the other end of the grounding cable to the site grounding terminal.
8 Connect Incoming AC Power Cables
This section describes how the AC main power is installed. Power Rack 8 kW ST and Power Rack 20 kW MT have
single-route AC Input, while Power Rack 20 kW ST and Power Rack 31.5 kW have dual-route AC Input. Table 2, Table

19 Install the MPPT Power Shelf
This section describes how to install the optional Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) power shelf in the equipment
compartment.
The 8 kW (R-state≥R2A) and 31.5 kW (R-state≥R2A) power rack can be equipped with a maximum of one and two
Maximum Power Point Tracking (MPPT) power shelves respectively.
The MPPT is a technique commonly used in the photovoltaic solar systems for high efficiency power extraction under all
conditions (variation of sunlight).
The photovoltaic panels must be connected in series and parallel as to not exceed the maximum input voltage and
maximum input current of the solar module.
Make sure the MPPT power shelf is equipped with an SPD according to the site installation requirements and MPPT
power shelf specifications. For more information, see Power System Units Description.
Warning!
High energy levels are present in this unit. Improper handling of the unit might lead to short circuits that might result
in serious injury.
Note: The input voltage of the MPPT power shelf is up to 420 V DC.
Make sure that four screws and cage nuts are available to secure the unit on the rack.
1. Install the 23''/19'' rail kit to the top shelf of the battery
rack. Tighten the four M6 screws on each side.
2. Install cage nuts (on the front surface) for installing the

1. Check if the firmware version is 1.07. If it is lower than 1.07, upgrade the firmware version, see Power System
Controller User Guide for more information.
Note: The power controller cannot function normally when switching to AC + Solar mode if the firmware is not
upgraded.

25 Verify Power System Installation on Site
This section describes the verification that must be performed to check the installation of the Power 6210 system.
Use the checklist in Table 15 to check the installation of the power system.
Do!
Products not connected to ground risk damage from overvoltage or overcurrent. Always ground products according
to instructions.
Two temperature sensors are configured by default. If the third temperature sensor is installed, set "Temp 3" parameter
in controller. For more instructions, see Power System Controller User Guide.
If batteries are installed, set the "End Test Time" parameter in the power controller according to estimated backup time
in minutes. For more instructions, see Power System Controller User Guide.
Set the temperature compensation slope according to the installed battery type. The default slope is 96 mV/°C.
For more information on how to set the temperature compensation slope, see Power System Controller User Guide.
Battery Capacity
If batteries are installed, set the battery capacity parameter according to the battery configuration.
For more information on how to set the battery capacity, see Power System Controller User Guide.
