How does the epic genre, particularly as exemplified by The Ramayana,
shape the portrayal of heroism, duty, and divine intervention in Indian culture?
Genre Definitions:
An Epic Poetry that has a long narrative poem that celebrates the deeds of a
legendary hero, often involving supernatural or mythological elements. Epics
typically explore grand themes, such as good versus evil, love and loss, and
the nature of destiny.
Comparative Framework:
A comparative literary approach will be employed to analyze The
Ramayana within the broader context of epic poetry. This approach will focus on
