Italian or international universities).

Candidates coming from foreign countries

Procedures for international candidates are indicated in paragraph 6.

2. Admission requirements
Admission to the Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering is subject to the criteria for the
curricular entry requirements assessment listed below:

1. Graduates of the L-8 degree class (Information Engineering) are admitted with a
possible differentiated curriculum. After assessment of the courses included within
the student career of each candidate, the Area Educational Board may determine
differentiated study plans for up to 12 ECTS.

2. For graduates of the L-9 bachelor's degree class (Industrial engineering), the Area
Educational Board will carry out a prior assessment of the previous student career.
Students will be admitted if the total number of recognisable credits (ECTS) for the
foundational, core and related Scientific-Disciplinary Sectors (MAT, FIS, CHIM, ING-
INF, ING-IND) is not lower than 100 ECTS. In this case, a differentiated Master's
Degree study plan for up to 12 ECTS will be determined.

3. For bachelor's degree graduates not included in the previous points 1) or 2) or for
students holding an educational qualification deemed appropriate, the Area
Educational Board will carry out a prior assessment of the student career. Students
will be admitted to the Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering if the total number
of recognasible credits (ECTS) for the subjects in the Scientific-Disciplinary Sectors
(MAT, FIS, CHIM, ING-INF, ING-IND, INF, SECS) is not lower than 120 ECTS. In this
case, a differentiated Master's Degree study plan for up to 12 ECTS will be
determined.

Good command, demonstrated by a certificate, of written and spoken English or of another EU

language other than Italian is also required. The certified level must be at least B2 of the

4. Academic knowledge assessment

Admission to the Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering is subject to students' academic
knowledge assessment. The Area Educational Board will carry out such an assessment based
on the documents regarding the student career and, possibly, an interview with the student.
An assessment of the student career will be carried out within the Entry Requirements and
Academic Knowledge Assessment by a proper Committee appointed by the Area Educational
Board.
This Committee will assess the student's previous curriculum, examining any knowledge gap
(also through the calculation of ECTS acquired in the various Scientific-Disciplinary Sectors). If
any knowledge gap is found, the Committee will determine a Personalised Study Plan for the
student, which consists in a study plan with specific exams that the student must mandatorily
take to complete the knowledge required. The student may be invited to an interview where
the assessment carried out, and the Personalised Study Plan are explained.
Admission to the Master's Degree in Electronics Engineering is subject to the criteria for the

student career assessment. Candidates will be admitted if the ECTS in the scientific-
disciplinary sectors below have been recognised:
- at least 18 ECTS in MAT/03 (Geometry) and/or MAT/05 (Mathematical analysis)
- at least 12 ECTS in FIS/01 (Experimental physics)

- at least 12 ECTS in INGINF/02 (Electromagnetic fields) and/or INGINF/03
(Telecommunications)
- at least 6 ECTS in INGINF/05 (Information processing systems)

The student's curriculum will be assessed for each application received by examining the
syllabuses of the exams taken. Based on such assessment, a study plan that may differentiate
the Master's Degree study plan for up to 12 ECTS and/or require the integration of specific
disciplines with single courses will be determined.
The methods for the academic knowledge assessment, which is only open to students who
meet the curricular admission requirements, are laid down in the Programme Regulations,
